If realistic consistency is important to you, there are shelf mods that use reinforcing bars, so why not try that?

These materials are way too heavy to go on a shelf, metals are super heavy per unit of volume.

This mod is now available in all branches. This is because all branches became 0.24.6 on May 8th.

The published content should already be optimized for 0.24.x.
Although not tested, it should also be available in Experimental Branch 0.24.2.
It was reserved for the Modding Branch, but I plan to change the title when the Public Branch reaches version 0.24 or higher.

Are you playing on the public branch or the experimental branch? Currently, UniversalStrage.json only works as a mod on the modding branch.
Please refer to the comments above to set up your environment.

so the error I'm getting is:
(23:21:26.483) [ERR] (RepositoryManager) No add action registered for UniversalStorage.json
it says the same thing for (23:21:27.58) dont know what any of this stuff means...do you think another shelf storage mod would conflict and cause this to happen?

Please set the game branch to "Modding" and the version to 0.23.x or higher.
Also, it may not work when playing the game immediately after applying the mod, so please try restarting the game.
If it still doesn't work, please reinstall the game. As of today, it is working in my reinstalled environment.
