@Stalker They are meant to be used with plopped buildings, as they only fit a specific size and style of buildings.
If you place them over a random building it will usually look weird.

I have the same issue as td-racing. Zoned buildings disappear immediately, these can only be used with ploppable buildings

These can be used for any building, but probably has to be plopped so it doesn't disappear.
I'm not sure since I plop buildings and set them to "historical" as well. The "historical" can be automatic with the RICO mod.

Oh, are these only for vanilla ploppable buildings? I thought they were for zoned commercial buildings. Thanks for replying so quickly too!

The building that I place it around gets unzoned and the building is removed. Any ideas?

About the pavement blocks, there are a couple of "pavement block" assets you can look at.
They are plain pavement, without any decals, but you can cover them with dirt/cracks/stains decals if you like.

Here is another simple idea, how about 2x4, 2x5, 2x6, and so forth.. of pavement, with an industrial worn look, NO parking spots, just plain, and those who like to detail can use to go along side industrial assets and put various industrial equipment on it, or park 18 wheeler trucks on it, and so forth, excellent to add near loading bays and so forth. --- And again NO parking spots, NO props, NOTHING, just pavement. If you can't make it, does it already exist??? And NO tourists, NO entertainment, maybe a small cost and maintenance, but that is it.
