Yep the launchpad is enabled for sure. I've got other mods like faster jetpack and wall directions which need it. I'd know if that wasn't working right :)

Ahh in that case it's probably all working the way it's meant to man :)

Once the initial rush is done, it's quite chill though tbh. Resources aren't a huge issue, furnace can be fired with nitrice and volatiles, works well.

I haven't tried the brutal start yet, but I imagine it wouldn't be much different. Smaller initial 'room' for supplies, and build up from there.

I actually like the fact storms seem less predictable tbh. What I did notice though was that the weather station doesn't give a warning before the storms. Just goes from green straight to red.

@PtDaFool
Are you maybe running this world without StationeersLaunchPad?
I actually didn't touch that part lately, first rain was always supposed to start after 1 day.

There is a delicate balance to strike here with the first storm. For the brutal start condition the added wind power that the first rain storm gives is almost required and at the same time it makes the normal start quite a harder as you noticed
Yep now it's a rush to get things inside before the first storm takes out the lander haha!

I don't mind that, but it might not be the 'friendlier' start you were going for.

The original issue is definitely fixed though, thanks for that! :)

Updated weather effects to be compatible with 'The storm update'

Rain looks and sounds a bit less rainy now, since I had to get a bit creative with the current version of the game's storm effects.

I hope that the devs provide a native rain effect again in the future

Hey good on you for being active mate. Great to see!!

Eh, happy to remain patient mate. It's a good idea in concept, and I like the distinction between an easy and 'hard' version of the planet as well. Makes it easier for players who might be newer to the game, and offers more experienced players more of a challenge :)
Updating the map for the new Storm effects might take a abit, since they removed the old rain effect.
Hopfeully I can get it done during the weekend.

My current vision of a 'hard' version of this world would be something along these lines:
- remove nitrice and oxite ice completely
- maybe add pure nitrogen ice instead to not have free access to nitrous oxide via nitrice
- maybe add more water ice (Real Titan actually has a LOT of water ice)
- still not sure about coal, real titan has a lot of hydrocarbons but not coal in the earth sense, but again, neither do any of the other stationeer worlds. I'd probably just keep coal at the level where it is right now.

The main challenge in this version would be to find Oxidizers for steel smelting. That would be true even if we keep coal in. Hydroponics would still be required to smelt it into steel in the first place. (Unless you get creative with extracting oxidizers from Ores like gold, silver and lead)
Thanks for the feedback.
I actually considered removing the ices you mentioned (+coal), but ultimately decided against it since design wise I just want this to be a more challenging alternative to europa that otherwise still fits the vanilla gameplay loop including ice and coal mining.

That being said I might release a 'hardcore' version of this map in the future.
Having said that, I'm not ruling out some other glitch with my other mods. The terrain update is brand new basically - who knows what else is in this release (I've sure not read all 1800 lines of their patch notes, much less do I remember them!!)

Oh if I can make a suggestion - yours is a nice world with some volatiles in the atmosphere. Maybe remove the oxite, vol and nitrice from the world to make it more of a challenge to do steel from hydroponics, have us think up other ways (like electrolysers) to make fuel :)

Not sure if that was what you were going for with your iteration, or if I need to update my version of the mod :)
Thanks Mate,

Yes I was testing inside a fully sealed room. It was about -110C or something at the time, so that's how I can tell it is definitely fully sealed :)

I was also sitting there with no volatiles in the room whatsoever (removed it with a scrubber) and it wasn't even slightly going up prior to the rain event :)

Hope that helps mate :)

Storms in this world are currently incompatible with the latest update "The Storm Update".
I'll update this world asap
At least when i started out, it was basically always the airlocks fault for letting liquids in
HeyPtDaFool,
I'm currently doing a playthrough on this world myself and I'm not noticing the issue you're describing.
Is your room maybe not properly sealed, or are you letting liquids in via an airlock maybe?

The rain by itself shouldn't add volatiles. It's just a storm effect like any other
I've noticed that the rain events still happen inside a room. Unfortunately on this world since they add to the world atmosphere, that means it also adds volatiles to a room I'm trying to empty of them (proved this - sealed room, no vol - rain happened, room had vol in there).

Don't think this is a fault of the mod, more a symptom of where the game is at development wise. Until then, I think rain events should probably just be a visual thing rather than dynamically changing world atmosphere.

Cool idea though - during those storms one could harvest the liquid volatiles for an additional source for fuel mix. Unfortunately, makes a greenhouse not workable :(

Updated terrain textures for a more polished look.
- Replaced Snow with Sand
- Replaced Snow storm for Dust storm, since dust storms feel more appropriate for the now sandy terrain
- Reduced brightness for weather events

Updated the map for the 'Biggest update ever'.

Terrain is a copy of europa for now, including map regions and spawn points.

I'll probably change the terrain in the future once I manage to wrap my head around the terrain editor...
Sorry for never replying to anyone, I think my notification settings are broken.

Mod is currently outdated with the latest version of Stationeers (after the terrain update)

I might redo it in the near future if I get around to it (no promises)
do you take planet request?
[possible name]
Dochas ("Scottish Gaelic" means "expectation" or "hope")

[atmosphere]
all gases present but not safe to breath (including polluted water ... should keep things interesting)
lowest pressure (at coldest temp) ~10 - 20kps (minimum)
highest pressure (at hottest temp) ~40 - 60kps (or higher if not adjustable or controllable)
lowest temp -20C
highest temp 50C

[weather]
all weather types active
% chance of each type can be random (you decide)
(if possible set to be more likely to happen near sunrise/sunset)

[day cycle]
~30min (instead of default 20)
sun angle ~45 - 60 degrees
lowest sun intensity ~5% (of earth - moon)
highest sun intensity ~80% (of earth - moon)

[other]
bedrock -120
gravity 70% (of earth)
ice 0 (absolutely none of any kind unless you somehow make it yourself)
basic ores 50% (of moon)
other ores (same as moon)
no lava (but due to all gases and water has potential for liquid puddles to build up)
Ohh I see, there is only 20% chance, and dust storm is not enabled.
When Snow Storms? I've been lived 1.5 months.
I see you defined 3 weather events, but I only experienced acid rain.
it is normal for the sky to be blue ? or it is only the morning ? (i just landed)
