Quick question, why the 1.1 version of the maps. As someone who (sadly) only played 1.3 TD I kinda prefer those versions of the maps as they feel more fleshed out. Also anyone who has played the remakes/recodes are gonna be more familiar with 1.3 versions of the maps too.

i just wanted escape rings in gmod cuz me and my friends made a gamemode and we are using the exfil addon to simulate a escape ring and its impractical having to go up to activate the flood event manually and i dont wanna get caught being suspicious just because i wanted to activate the event

i'd believe you could do it like this:
once a player escapes it will set them to a room with the map where they can see the round while they wait, until the timer goes back to 0 it will trigger the map clean up thing to reset everything to normal, the mini map is optional, if you dont wanna then you can make it so if the game detects GWS spectate mod then the game will automatically write "start_spectating" in their dev console, once the timer reaches 0 the game will do a clean up and automatically write "stop_spectating" in their console, does that sound more clear?

it's possible, but it wouldn't really fit naturally into something meant to be entirely sandbox

i don't know where it'd teleport the players to or how long the players would be gone after jumping into a ring, plus it'd be boring for players who already made it because they'd just be trapped for however long it is and spectating is something only lua can do. i'd have to basically recreate td's round logic for something most people likely won't use because it'd be so unintuitive and unnecessary

honestly i struggled for days using a bunch of workarounds just to get the flooding mechanic to work, no idea if there is one
