Thank you very much, I am quite sick of having to inverse ZEM calculations because the missiles are subsonic and agility scales with less speed in FTD for some reason.

Wow thump missiles are very scary now

Because the missiles are traveling 3x as fast they do 3x as much damage, but their health has only been reduced by 25%

Question: does this affect missile targeting? I noticed my missiles won't launch unless a target is directly in front of it unless it's a torpedo, and I have to put one-turns on everything

I've noticed interceptors had a very hard time, even missiles with 100 °+ of turning are barley able to touch incoming missiles

Awesome idea for realism, I think you actually DO have room to make it more balanced though. Do you have a discord account? I have a few key feedbacks to make all types of missile more fair to eachother.

oh and also, why exactly would you want the solid rocket booster to work for infinite durations..? A variable thruster with a single fuel module is enough to propel a missile at least 5km at the minimum

this is about as much as my coding skills go, any more complex and my brain blue screens. Which means as of now I can't make the solid booster go infinite duration lmao, thats also why I cant get the solid booster to work with no fuel.

Got source for this mod? Or otherwise possible additional mod to just have infinite solid booster fuel like it already has without the other additions such as the increased base speed? Was making my own but couldn't figure it out.

So basically what ive decided to do is have the solid rocket booster be free low thrust for propelling torpedo a good distance. If its not desirable then I can switch it

Doesn't seem to work as intended for me.

The solid rocket booster makes missiles cap out at just under 100m/s and gradually slows down before shutting off after the five seconds.

The variable thruster is what gets higher speeds, but it's a slow build up and consumes fuel still.

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
