2) 1.6 is on the way but I want to code some failsafes that are important to implement, but as my coding experience is very limited I'm struggling to properly understand in how to code the failsafes. Therefore it might still take some time, but can't say whether that might be a week or multiple weeks or months even.
Would be awesome to actually turn a section desert world into shrub-land etc
@a crazed gunman: good idea, thought of the same thing, albeit slightly different. I will take them into consideration.
@Deadler: no problem! I was surprised no one touched upon this before as temperature is one factor that might make gameplay much more unforgiving, as you already could change raid difficulty through the in-game storyteller and options. Changing temperature and weather might make Rimworld an even more relaxing colony sim!
Thanks a lot
Upgraded weather controller should allow you to set the weather + temperature on your own local tile to +20/-20 degrees of baseline, any weather regardless of season.
Spacer weather controller should have the big huge radius with diplomatic consequences for affecting the weather on nearby settlements and have the +/-50C range.
I was actually thinking about this, to actually control weather and temperature. However, due to my inexperience it might take a long time for this to be actually implemented. I was thinking to make it and upgraded version with a seperate tech tree maybe, as to prevent it from being totally OP from the get-go. But those are mostly ideas for now.
