I really like this little mod but there are too many extreme encounters (and add to that the corruption modifiers!), and also if you have a kineticist in the party almost all the random drops seem to be gate attenuators, meaning you have to sell most of them, meaning you get less overall money to tackle future encounters.

The mod rocks but the underwater encounters make me want to reach doomed 4 IRL. Early on they're specially frustrating.

Of all the excellent mods for dawnsbury, this one by far adds the most replayability and enjoyment for me. There isn't much reason to go through the main story more than once, but this mode is addictive with replayability and making noncombat encounters a thing so character options besides punching and fireball have value.

as far as playtesting for the high level encounters, please remove web warden from the High Priestess' summoning pool. having two of them on the field protecting eachother is literally just a lose condition

Not at the moment unfortunately - I have tentative plans for higher corruption levels to alter how much gold you get or add new mechanics to the elite and boss fights, but I got distracted working on the level 5-8 expansion ^.^'

I'll hopefully have a beta version out soon-ish? Adding all the encounter descriptions, BG music and cutscenes might be a while off, but I have most of the encounters and items done? I'm mostly just waiting on being in the right mood to write all the events, and then plugging everything together.

It probably won't be very balanced at first though, since the encounters haven't been very well play tested <.<

Have recently purchased the game. And wow! This mod is incredible and adds so much replay-ability. Thank you for your hard work! Do you have any guesses as to when the level expansion might be ready?

Yeah, I'm definitely of two minds about the current difficulty. It's quite fun coming up with OP party comps to challenge it, and if you're doing something with good classes like a fighter and a cleric, you never get too comfortable.

But I have heard a lot of people complaining that a lot of less meta parties struggle even on normal, even if they didn't take say a cleric or used a monk as their primary DPS.

It's probably too much work to rebalance the whole game, I'm definitely interested in looking at road block elite encounters that punish people for building a party with less popular classes.

I will say, these are quite difficult (played on the corruption game mode) But it does help me weed out what builds aren't all that great and which ones are very strong (elf + Fury instinct barbarian + fleet + greatsword) is pretty strong.

Haven't actually tried the roguelike mode properly, but I use it for Free Encounter Mode for learning higher level characters for fun. Something about the Weaver of Lies map instantly crashes the game, seems to be missing a jpeg or something from the crash report.

I'm running into a new bug, the Invisible Stalker encounter seems to permanently treat the enemies as undetected (and thus untargetable) even after successful Seek actions or when they become enraged.

Excellent mod!

I have a problem with a bandolier though. For some reason it doesn't allow me to put on property runes like shocking or flaming. It says you can only put one rune, which there's none

There's a bug with the Thrower's Bandolier, if you change a ruin from another weapon to it, but decline the popup that requires money. You dupe the ruins onto it anyways.

Oh yeah, the toggles in the options menu are just for enabling the high difficulty setting in free encounter mode and hiding the failed run icon - the only way to try out the Rat Monarch in free encounter mode is to import a character from an Adventure Path that has met the requirements.

what is the prerequisite for the Rat Monarch? This sounds like fun but I can't figure out what stealing the power of the Rat Fiend means. Or is this only possible through random events?

A level 5-8 expansion is currently in the works as I plug away implementing new high level monsters, encounters, events and magic items. But it might be a little ways off with so much content to fill out ^^

You can see some of the new enemies under Roguelike (high level) in Free Encounter mode tho ^^

Loving this, would love to see it expanded with the expansion levels. This is much more replayable than the game's story campaign.

With a solid team and tactics this is awesome. Be warned, you need to optimise and play well or you'll get tuned up pretty handily.

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it!

As for the Rat Monarch dedication, the archetype feats and multiclass system are unfortunately limited to the DawniiExpanded mod at the moment, and it's a bit tricky to get different mods to interact with each other, so mine are stuck as standalone feats.

If I add more, I'll bundle them together like Danni does so it's a bit less messy though ^^

The Rat Monarch dedication is in the class feat list instead of the archetype dedication list, otherwise great stuff tho, I think I've put more time into the roguelike mod than the rest of the game

Adding more level 4 encounters is a bit tricky, since most of the fights are balanced around being level 2, and then slapped with a weak or elite template to generate a lvl 1 and 3 variant, so I'd have to create a pool of level 4 ones from scratch.

But it probably wouldn't require any new enemies, just more of the current ones, so I can look into it as a possible future extension ^^

I love your mod, the quality is incredible! Any chance you could add more encounters to Act 4 (with characters at level 4) besides just the final boss? I'd love to play a few more encounters at that level before finishing the run.

Well I'm making some changes in the next hotfix that'll cause the game to end immediately since some other people have reported being confused by that - hopefully that inadvertently fixes whatever broke? But I'll keep an eye out for the issue anyway to see if I can reproduce it ^^

I just tried again to make sure that ending my turn wasn’t the issue (since I had tried that before and it didn’t solve the problem). This time, a treasure demon appeared, which hadn’t shown up before. As soon as I killed the spiders, the scenario was completed.

@PrimeDko I suspect you just had to end your turn? That map has a lot of optimal hazard enemies, but it unfortunately doesn't check if you've cleared all the non-optimal enemies until the next state check, which can be a bit confusing.

But let me know if that doesn't work and I'll look into it further?

i was unable to finish the spider encounter, the one with the two shrines. Killed all the enemies but the game softlocked. Tried restarting and doing again but no luck.
