apparently this mod is not working anymore, i tried to install but it does nothing, my camera is still the same.

This mod is literally the only thing standing between me and OSb. Default Starbound camera moves too sharp, so i can't play without this mod anymore

Any plans to update the mod? OpenStarbound has the camera bindings now

didn't realize how big of an impact would this have during gameplay, this'd definitely be a must-have for me if only it were compatible with openstarbound

Well. Strange, i deleted FU. But mod still not working... May be i have some problems, because i have many mods. But this mod is really good. May be other player dont have problems.

@strange OpenStarbound (OSB) [github.com] is an open source fork of Starbound that allows for more advanced modding. mods you subscribe to on steam will work in OSB once you get it installed following the installation readme. StarExtensions is like Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) but for Starbound. I suggest OpenStarbound as in my experience it runs better, and nearly every mod that requires StarExtensions also works with OSB. I don't use FU so I'm not sure if this is compatible or not, but without OSB or StarExtensions this mod will not function to begin with.

For the uninformed Starbound Mod User; What's the deal with StarExtensions and Openstarbound?
I ask because I subscribed to the mod and it doesn't work.
Idk if it's compatible with FU or other larger content mods, but I just want to better make sure I know how to get this to work.

@Thelema I have come to the conclusion that I am NOT good enough to come up with a way to make it work, so I'm just gonna wait for the oSB team to add the camera bindings that I use in a later update.

I love the mod, but too sad that is only for starextensions and doesnt support Openstarbound :c

I refuse to download the Windows version of Starbound, use it under a compatibility layer, just so that I could use your mod with StarExtensions! Reported!

I suggest you upack your save file using this guide. https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=942157446 and look for then parameter torch_cameralook+_cameraSmoothness and set it to 1 .

I guess I'll be clamping the value next update so that something like that doesn't happen again.

I set the smoothness to 5 just to see what would happen, it crashed my game and now whenever I open the save it crashes. I tried uninstalling and it didn't crash but when I reinstalled it still crashes. Is there anyway I can change the smoothness from outside the game?

Oh, i just realized, it doesn't relate to mech, it just happens after every warp. Well, i guess i can press a single button after every warp, but it would be nice if it stayed on

@DeMadScribe Okay so I haven't encountered the mech issue yet however the world border one sure is a jarring one. I'll try to see what I can do with that.

Well, this looks good, i think i'll only play this game like that from now on. The only thing, for some reason it turns off when you use a mech, is it supposed to do it? And there's some weird stuff going on when you step on a junction of two ends of the world, camera just goes haywire
