I can set it off by default.
I couldn't click in the council, I had 3 differents sub-category (Mine, my Liege one, and another one) The one on the most right had the window the same size as the text, making it impossible to click on the side
I might be able to add a toggle to disable selecting text, I'd need to test
do you remember where exactly you couldn't click?
I'd like to use it only for the events, completely removing the copy.
It is working by removing
text_selectable = yes and putting no instead in the first one, but then the reader is taking a very long time to read the whole event and I have to wait 30-40sec before being able to speech it.
Thank you, have a good day
Because some people have impaired vision and can't play the game without it.
You can double-click any text in game, copy it with Control C and the reader will read it out loud!
The new CK3 Reader, from github, to be clear:
https://github.com/Agamidae/CK3-WPF-Reader/releases/tag/1.2
There will be some text that won't work. But a lot of them will! Give it a try.
I should have tested this mod alone without having other mods activated to see first, but... anyways, turns out for me that the 'Regional Immersion and Cultural Enrichment (RICE)' mod is the culprit that is causing my issue. That mod has yet to be updated, which in turn broke this mod...sigh...
I have RICE disabled for now and text to speech now works. That mod should have been one of the first ones I checked to make sure it was updated....
I feel like it's impossible for me to finish a campaign, updates break everything and corrupt my campaign to where I have to start a new. Ohhh the struggle be real lol.
Either way, thanks for this kick ass mod!

It works very well; some of the voices should also work on Windows 10, at least as of 1.5 years ago when I was still using Windows 10. In cases where programs rely on Windows TTS, I recommend checking out this program.
@American Daimyy check through the comments, someone had a solution for using AI voices
Event:
high negative greed
Event:
low positive greed
and so on. Unsubscribed , then subscribed again, and I also downloaded and am now using the new app, but the issue remains. It does not read the event text.
It will only output the event text once and read the log faster beacuse good lord it gets spammed like crazy sometimes.
I also recommend trying the new app, it should work better:

- "Il se joint à l'armée " becomes "Il se joint à armée "
- "Nous sommes à l'écart " becomes "Nous sommes à écart "
(in short, it removes all l' apostrophes: l' )
You just need to remove the line "\bL\b" in the file CK3 Text to Speech Monitor.ps1
$removePatterns = @(
" \bL\b ", # <-- to remove 🔴

After installing "Text to Speech" and testing that it works well, I installed "NaturalVoiceSAPIAdapter" as @Blue_Angel said ( https://github.com/gexgd0419/NaturalVoiceSAPIAdapter )
Installing AI voices is quite simple, to install you just need to:
🔵 Go to the release section and download the .zip ( https://github.com/gexgd0419/NaturalVoiceSAPIAdapter/releases )
🔵 Extract the ZIP into the folder of your choice (which should not move after installation)
🔵 Run "Installer.exe"
🔵 Click on "Install 64-bit"
🔵 Quit, that's it!
🟢 Relaunch "CK3 Text to Speech Monitor.ps1", AI voices are now available in the voice selection section, I personally use "Microsoft RemyMultilingual Online"
Tested on Windows 11
the logs reset when you restart the game, so the bloat is limited to a single run.
Is there a way for the mod to use a different file than debug.log? maybe a dedicated file just for the mod? thing is I set my log files to read only because after few runs they become big and bloated...
After installing this, I was able to get all the MS narrator and online voices accessible in the CK3 TTS
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/51811901/speechsynthesizer-doesnt-get-all-installed-voices-3
I confirmed manually registry editing like he suggested as option one does work, so option 2 should for the author (albeit I only know C# so I'm not sure if powershell has the ability for reflection), theres also a patcher someone made at the bottom, but I can't guarantee its safety.
Like Sean Bean narrating your gamethrough.
Narrative/Textbased Games will be super awesome!!
