I have however been thinking of making an rng charger mechanic that allows the Charger to either do as you say, or do as he generally does in the game.

The Meaner Charger/Lesser Meaner Charger has this feature, it is however only designed to afflict incapacitated survivors.

Then there is the E3 Charger, the only problem is that the E3 Charger utilizes a whole divergent infrastructure that will not work well with this mod.

i wonder if there's a mod out there that makes survivors fly when a charging charger hits them instead of grabbing them. something like that paired with this would make the charger the perfect "brute" infected

Late reply because I forgot I posted this comment: If the whole "rock scatter" ability would be a bit too finicky to implement, then I think the ground slam on its own would be pretty cool. Though, if I want this as an addon, do I need to buy a commission or something alone those lines? I've got 66 dollars right now in my Steam Wallet but I can come back with more after a holiday or something.

These attacks are not impossible to make though, although the projectile from the flurry attack would be a tad gimmicky to code; to ensure it works with the AI tank too.

However, I'm pretty sure giving the infected entirely new, built-from-scratch attacks would actually be impossible with Left 4 Dead 2's minimal default programming. So that's pretty much just a fantasy on my part.

Well, the ideas I had conceptualized (only ideas because I'm not math-brained enough to code) wouldn't require extra animations I don't think. The "Full Tank Moveset" idea I thought of involved giving the Tank two ranged attacks, his regular boulder throw using the default 3 animations, and a short-ranged flurry of multiple rock fragments using the beta Turtle Rock throwing animation. Also an AOE ground pound using his incap attack anims that would deal moderate damage and inflict stagger in a radius similarly to the charger's impact shockwave.

Generally you can only work with animations which the game provides, otherwise it is technically possible to compile their animation models with extra animations... that'd perhaps fit that criteria you speak of.

With mods like these and the growing popularity of v-scripts, I wonder if we'll see more modified special attack patterns in the future, like Tanks with full movesets or Common Infected with heavy attacks.

The Charger just punted Nick because of a plugin of mine, it was never stated to be a feature.

Stumbling will cancel the swatting mechanic, since game disables gravity when you're staggering unless you fall outta an edge to cancel the animation; that's an incompatible script right there, therefore a problem you have created.

You might have something that is incompatible with it, it is impossible to know what can or cannot break it.

Doesn't work in versus, when meleeing survivors they're never sent flying or anything, but the swat animation plays

I have never tested this mod with 8 people, the game itself is not even designed for more than 4 too.

You have to be mindful that it could be other mods of yours, assuming you have a lot.

Just got wombo comboed by the Charger for the first time today as it swatted me into the air first and then perfectly timed and aligned the charge and caught my ass just as I was falling down.

Ya know. I had a vision...
If swatting can send the survivors flying.....what if.....the Charger can also swat obstacles and send them flying towards the survivors like the Tanks?
