Hey, I just published a video about something weird that happened while I was playing this map, and I was wondering if you know something about this bug. It's when the smoke from the chimneys glitch into this amalgamation of purple (Not missing Texture) stringy weirdness.

Thanks for the comments guys! Snow texture issue should hopefully be fixed now.

@Mebeth Exotetere is correct. Basically, the real map stops at a certain point and the skybox version takes over, which is slightly lower in quality. With big open spaces like in this map, it can help improve FPS

there should be more water, houses should be all furnitured

Mebeth, I don't know entirely how to do it if you're trying to make a map with this strategy.
However, what they're doing is making a near-perfect recreation of the map in lower quality that shows instead of the regular map when you are far away, to save resources.
You'll notice props are removed and the geometry is simplified. You don't notice it much ingame, so it doesn't take away from the map too much. Hope this helped!

Great map ! I like exploring maps on GMod and trying to understand how they work, and something in this one got me curious. I checked the Skybox, and it was an almost perfect recreation of the map itself, when usually Skyboxes are everything OUTSIDE of the playable map. Is there an explanation behind that ?

@Halsi You need to push the button, and if you walk/drive along the bridge, the train is gonna come towards you on the right lane. :)
