No, I didn't recolor them. I just made the background darker.

DId you recolor the icons, or is just the darker background creating more contrast after the update?

I simply have to try this. I use dark mode in my (Waze) GPS in the car. I'll be back shortly bearing gifts for a job well done once I've tested how the mod looks like in my truck... 😉
