adding you here then possibly moving to discord to show you?
If you remove the actual magazine for the new one but interrupt the reloading process by briefly switching to the secondary weapon and then switching back to the empty primary weapon, you shouldn't have to remove the previously already removed empty magazine again.
You should only have to insert the new magazine directly back into the weapon, instead of having to remove the old magazine again, which would be illogical and unnecessary.
It already looks much better to what it was usually without the addon 👌;).
Thanks a lot !
More like this: The number of bullets in the rifle should be updated as soon as the weapon is armed by pulling the loading handle back at the end of the reload animation, to signal that NOW (click-click/NOW) the bullets are in the barrel of the weapon, and that's exactly when you should be able to fire again without having to wait another second. (Without mentioned feature there is a short cooldown after the "click-click" noise you can't fire.) T
Instead of mentioned cooldown the crosshair could then signaling shortly, when you normally wouldn't be able to fire, that the weapon has a slightly higher spread for a moment, since the weapon isn't being held completely straight during this extra second yet.
10/10 I implemented this on to my own script mod.
(btw I think the pistol timing isn't working?? <- idk)

If not, could I upload an edit of your script with that modified behavior? obviously credited and all
Not necessarily. Even if this mod technically shortens the reload timer by virtue of doing a quick-swap just after the refill now, it's absolutely not the same as infinite mags and the choice of deciding when to reload and some of the vulnerable reload time is still there.
For how L4D2's reloads work, I've had times where I switched weapons when the reload animation visually looks like it finished by habit, but the reload timer didn't actually finish so I gotta do it all over again. I know that's how the game works, but it still can be annoying for me.
can't go back after using this addon, it makes for more fluid and enjoyable gameplay. Run out of ammo on your primary - reload, once the mag is in quickly swap to your pistol to skip the cocking animation while defending yourself, S tier.
Because this make the gun reload too fast to be honest
Could be debatable 'cause it's possible to reload weapon with non-empty mag.
Like I said - good idea
