Could you add an option like HW Respawn mod, where players can disable the ability to create a new character, and the "Give Up" option will cause the player to respawn with the loss of skills? I'd like players to feel the consequences, not create new characters. I really need this, thanks in advance.
PS. A sandbox option would also be great, where players who gave up and respawn would have some kind of permanent wound, so that each subsequent respawn would also bring consequences beyond just the loss of skills, something like a scar on a random limb or some negative trait.
Great mod! Thanks in advance for everything!
- Fixed previous fix regarding First Aid requirement
(for realzy this time.. hopefully)
- Fixed First Aid requirement
I created a translation mod for PTBR, and it would be amazing if the translations were included directly in the main mod. I think it would add even more value.
I'm updating the translation mod right now with the new translations.
- Added support for Build 42
- General descriptions of time remaining instead of an exact countdown
- Added option to show exact countdown as previous versions
- Added option to add variance to incapacitation time
- Added option to require Doctor profession to revive another player
- Changed default for Recovery requires Fitness/Strength to disabled
@XoDollface: That shouldn't be happening.
@Arke: Yes you can lose skill points, though this can be disabled. I'll look more into book compatibility another time.
@Refúgio Z: Tied to the Doctor profession? Sounds interesting but I'm afraid I have no plans to lock it to a profession right now, but perhaps a minimum first aid skill option.
@SocietysGone: Yes unfortunately due to limitations of the game engine and the modding api, this mod cannot prevent death from excessive damage.
- Fixed negative xp values when losing skills on incapacitation
It doesn't prevent all player deaths, if you instantly die/take too much damage past the threshold set you will still die completely.
Happily, I can confirm it does work with FAO/FAE!
We made a separate test server to also play around with Day One B41 experience, and we got to use the revival mechanic first hand there. Seemed to work great! No errors at least :D
I have a Roleplay server and sometimes players die from various issues (bugs, collissions..) and it's a pain to recreate their character. We want a system that just knocks them down that "fakes" their death while leaving the decision to actually kill the player to the player themselves or the GMs
