how does the bomb sight work, it seems like its just pointing down i can never hit my target

i think i figured it out, when i spawn it it starts with ten percent trim to the right.

I know about that, might fix it some day
though the current ideal way to deal with it is using the trim
hold alt and use wasd to trim it out.

Tilts to the side when gryo is on makes it hard to 1 man crew

if only I could fly the fighters without them tilting forward and destorying the props

I can't get the bomb sight to work when using this thing.

have you done all the steps before the starter is pressed?
and if so, you may have infinite fuel on
I have noticed that it messes with the starter for some reason.

When I go to hold down the starter and disengage clutch, it doesn't start, just rising and dropping the RPMs

when i spawned it in the props where missing

there is a switch on the angled dashboard
its more to the copilots side

Holy procedures

You can just trim the control surfaces by holding alt and slowly adjusting the trim
Though enabling the gyro and heading hold alone should already work more than good enough.
I have noticed that the plane got more unbalanced after a patch and will look into fixing it, bc previously it was just fine as is, so expect some minor fixes to that in the future.

Love the plane, but is there any way to keep it on course? I have to constantly monitor the controls or it slowly rolls to the right, even if I enable heading hold?

@leonidaskarousis12 you aim the bombardiers turret with your mouse reticle, where ever you look it should fire

and to use the bombsight you have to open the bombsight and enable bombsight power.
You also have to look directly down the sight for it to be fully visible due to a parallax effect to simulate actually looking down a sight.
Though, it doesnt actually work much bc sw bombsights are just... terrible and the one I made got screwed over by a sw update and doesnt work anymore

To the turret: it should be enabled by the bombardier itself. The unlock button should be on the hotkey 3 (should be labeled)
And space is the trigger
Its possible that the front turret doesnt have any ammo bc its so small, so you'd have to use inf ammo.

@Duboiplays the brakes are right above the throttle levers. Its 3 switches for vrakes, left wheel brake, right wheel brake, rear wheel brake.
They are by default on

A true masterpiece, should be front page right away. The systems, the involved start-up, the map system and bombsight right down to the tiny details like the red lights to showing flames spitting from the exhaust and the oil and wear along the body of the engines. This plane is perfect, probably my favorite aircraft in SW!

At altitude it can actually reach 300kph. If I were to make it even faster the gunners would have a more difficult time aiming, and the turrets have some odd issues at speeds above 320 for some reason. So I kept it slow. Not to mention that there is a follow up bomber that gets developed after this B17 esque thing and is faster.

like the design of the b17 a lot, but it could use a lil bit more speed like 300-400 kph

Maintenance was mostly the issue ig
With bombers like these it wasnt uncommon that things would just stop working in the harsher regions of the war, like the pacific(which this plane is made for)

Pretty accurate i'd assume, lots of war planes were cheap and i assume due to the war conditions, it lead to poor maintenance, and no maintenance meant getting stuck..

Though the rear gun getting stuck is a sw isssue that I didnt bother to fix (:
