I wasn't sure how to interact with them, with Orcs it was much more straightforward and enjoyable.
Kept running into issues of each factory declaring independence to the dark and not engaging in any....well anything.
Attempting to trigger Deep one interactions but aside from contaminates in the water....nothing. DX
Makes me have the "Toxic Love" song from Ferngully go through my mind.
I did see heroes get missions to destroy cores, but after world panic reached like 90%
An evil industrial revolution is such a vibe
no. it is the lorax. that orange gaia oriented fool will crumble beneath my iron boot, through the power of aberrant metal. the truffula trees, the thneeds - THEY WILL BE MINE!
good mod btw
Also, they seem to be able to just walk away from battles and they can eat people while they fight, so they're pretty devastating unless stopped with overwhelming force.
Tbh, it feels weird that they seem to not generate menace by eating people. You'd think the alliance would proactively go and try to kill these things BEFORE they eat enough of the world that they become too big to stop.
Also, for the mobile factories, it seems like setting Mode: Strip Mining doesn't do anything. If I toggle it, it still isn't set the following turn.
Other comments:
Some powers just don't seem that useful. Why would I ever use Overdrive, given that a location with high shadow will naturally gain Efficiency very quickly? Why would I use Blood is Fuel, given that it kills pops (a vital resource for producing Units) only to create shadow (which I can do with agents - if I've fully infiltrated a city it can easily be Enshadowed) and death (which the text implies is a "fuel" but as far as I can tell isn't actually helpful)? Why would it be helpful to send all of my smog to one location with Smog-Bound be worth 3 power?
Not sure how a city becomes a factory to use the last power on. Does the eldritch smog or core eff have to reach a specific level?
I really like the idea of this god, and most of its implementation. However, I feel that enshadowment should reduce the desire to destroy your cores/Being fully enshadowed should prevent it. Maybe Menace should be a thing? With the current way of only being prevented by danger, and being pushed by world panic, in the late game, your own dark empire can be your main enemy, as is destroys all the cores you build up beforehand.
