Apparently basically all mods have broken with this latest update. How nice. And because steam is still a piece of shit, no mods will auto update. Which means I can't play for several weeks while I wait for everything to update so I can unsub and resub to all of it. :/

I only discovered this mod a day or two ago and already altered my map designs to make full use of it.

Firstly, love this mod! It might be a simple change, but it is a must have.

Is 32cms the max value you can have? Or could you set it higher (64 or even 128)? I ask this because I'm playing on Thousand Islands, and I have piped every water source (54cms fresh water + 27cms bad water = 81cms) into a 1x1 tube and it's being capped at 32cms.

unfortunately no, there isn't a way to customize the maximum flow. I keep getting hung on on UI changes.

since downloading this mod im getting 7 source blocks worth of flow through a .5 gap, unsure if this is intended or not but i literally just have it as a single floodgate infront of a dam with a scaffold in it

I can relate to the odd feeling of changing a single value in a file and getting praise for it. But as someone who has seen a lot of mods over the years (though not for this game), I can tell you that a whole lot of mods are like that.

I just checked my version of vo.6.5.1-d70585b-xsw with only the Steam copy of FreeFlow as the running mod and it loaded. I also check the map edit that worked as well. I'm not sure the best way to help you out over steam but send me a message and I'll see what I can do.

To the person who's comment I accidentally deleted, I'm sorry! You were asking about it not being a bug. which according to the devs it's intended behavior but not really a feature. " Limit on waterfalls (bottom elevation change) is intended to reduce undesired side-effect when water starts to oscillate with big amplitude over whole map. " I'm thinking it was to prevent RCE's tsunami.

I appreciate the praise, but I think it's misplaced. It's so simple I feel like a fraud for posting it as a single mod. This mod literally changes a single value in the game. That said I think Timberborn is a great game with wonderful water physics and the waterfall limit was holding it back.

This was a huge improvement for me, since it means elevation changes no longer dam up flows. Maybe there should be a max flow cap but 2.2 cms seemed way too low

oh i meant like within the additional pictures on the mod page that are bigger and easier to see. The thumbnail just made me thing this changed how the 'water overflow' mechanics work with what was shown.

if its about more fluid power then a side by side with water power generation then more people might hop on board?

oh so this is almost like putting in 'gravity'? in that the higher it falls from the faster it can flow? or at least doesnt 'hinder' the flow by having that elevation change and therefore have stronger water flow rates due to elevation changes instead of it not mattering and ALWAYS being 2.2cms?

I think if you just add essentially that info to your description it might make more sense. Also if you give a few examples of WHY someone should care that'd help people too. Like example of power wheels with and without this and just slap some text in the screenshots "with FreeFlow" or "without freeflow"

Thanks for feedback, and a fair point. I'll see what I can do.

It's simple, but hard for me to describe in pictures. Without this mod when ever the water would flow over the edge of block to a lower elevation the game limited the flow rate to 2.2 cms per edge. This mod removes that flow rate restriction.

For example if you had a 1 block wide channel it could only flow at a rate of 2.2 cms no matter how tall you made the sides of the channel. The screen shot shows a 1 block wide channel move 32 cms instead of the previous max of 2.2.
