With regards to my last comment, it was a conflict with Dominions Enhanced :[
it was just the one mod I didn't want to check because I didn't want to remove it, haha

Played the mod lately and noticed I can't summon Fleshshapers or the other necromancer guys, or Illithid Lords, were they removed? I'm pretty sure it isn't a clash with another mod... at least, I hope. In my capital I can only summon Alhoons and Architects!

Sorry if is obvious, but i dont get how to use the surface Alar spell, or the staircase ones. I cannot select caves, but when I try to select the surface the maximun distance is always 3 (and the spell only has 1). Where i have to do it?

Lesson learned: Look before surfacing. Had a disease site in my surface Alar and just soooo many dead tentacle friends.

The bond with tartatian spell only changes the chassis, not the base magic paths. very dissapointed. I found breaking through the surface very difficult on a donut cave system map. would reccomend other options.

There seems to be an overlap with 'Nys New Nations' from Nyaxe "vansam", as some of the Illithid units are added to the roster of one of their nations while the Illithid nation doesn't exist anymore. Figured I should let you know!

Why climb or descend the endless stair when it requires a cave exit anyway? Is there something this can transport that can't just walk?

Just found out that Dreamers aren't exempt from the nightmares of Tartarus. Specifcially, I had a Dreamer Supreme get attacked by one (which also died to hybrid shock troopers like the time I mentioned 2 days ago, preventing the target from gaining insanity). I don't think it's unfitting for the Dreamer units to suffer insanity as a side effect of their actions, but thought I should report it as potentially a bug.

I checked the battle replay more closely and have a minor correction: the guards in the courtyard were of the same unit type as the units I had loitering in the fort, but were spawned just for the battle and went back to not existing when it ended, like province defense.

Just had a funny bug that I'm afraid there's probably no solution for: if you assign bodyguards to someone and the insanify event targets that commander, the bodyguards can preserve the commander's sanity by killing the Nightmare of Tartarus or being targeted by its spell.

One thing that might help is to make it so the assassination takes place somewhere that doesn't have built-in bodyguards-- in my case, it took place in the courtyard of a fort, and the "bodyguards" were part of the garrison and didn't even have a commander, not actually official bodyguards of the person they protected. I don't know much about modding, and I know nothing at all about the system the game uses to determine which battlefield type an assassination attempt uses, but if this is moddable then avoiding courtyards and perhaps taverns would at least prevent random interference.

@raylordraymondo it is by design. they give you resources in exchange for gold. You can basically use them to fix forts that have too few resources for recruiting what you want

Yeah I don't know if it's by design but the undead miner with the "gold maker" skill at -1 isn't making gold only costing me more if it was making gold I'm pretty sure it'd be "gold mater +1" please look into possibly changing it. Other than that thank you wonderful mod now I can enjoy my favorite class types in new fun ways.

@must.dissent Hmmm will have to check what is up with that... maybe I was shuffling the site ids too much

@Bippopotamus It happened to me one or two times during tests... unfortunately that seems to be an Illwinter bug. The nation has the correct #cavenation 3 command and it works most times. I'll report it to Illwinter

this is my favourite mod, I love the theme so much and I'm so happy to finally have a nation with diverse unique-spells in every magic path, I do notice however that sometimes even on vanilla maps the capital is created without a cave exit in the same province meaning the "breach the surface" spell doesn't work, other than that though it's a great mod :]

I love this nation, as I love all your stuff. I did notice the brain farm doesn't seem to trigger? I tried all kinds of locations and different casters. It consumes the gems, but doesn't create the site. The only other mod I was using was Lucid's Gem gen

@[XIX] Vanguard and isiarce - Thanky you for your kind words and thanks for spotting these ! Will fix all the typos in the next patch

@isiarica Alhoons should be immune, will fix. I actually defined the spell castable from all 3 sites, nut I guess it's not possible. Will add an extra site just for the spell I guess. I have never seen recruitment not being available. Might be a mod conflict . will test.

@TommyW3 Will be curious to see how Abolethos adapted to the new cave system. But conflict between the two will be inevitable :)

@N8NBot - Alar should always start with in the cave layer with a cave exit on the cap, so the spell should always work. If the map doesn't have a cave layer you can still cast the spell from the surface

Is there any way to extend the "breach the surface" spell? Unless you spawn with a way to the surface it seems impossible to cast.

Tartillith monstra has 30 mr and 18 morale, I think it should be swapped. Tartillith spirit has 28 morale while others have 30.

Sublime dreamers claim to be sacred but are not.

Observations from a test game: Alhoons derive sacred status from their immunity to the nightmares, but are still valid targets for the insanify event.

Descend the Endless Stairs is only castable if the city is on its second tier-- once Alar Surfaced becomes Alar Rising the Descend spell is unavailable. Perhaps Breach the Surface could generate two sites? One being Alar Rising, and the other being called something like Endless Stairs, and Descend the Endless Stairs would require the presence of that site instead?

My test game had other mods active so this might or might not be something Alar does on its own, but when I cast Breach the Surface my capital (and only my capital) lost the capacity to recruit units. It can still recruit commanders, and the unit roster is still displayed, but the recruitment queue does not progress.
