Keep me tuned up, and i see to split those appart to patch the NSC Version of this to a version with mor varity. Don't forget you dont need to always do new meshes. Recolors, or painting stuff can also sometimes help to create new moduls.

Or set some attenas or simple stuff. Sometimes just small details also give varity. Don't always need to be big new ships :) but a hint, if you wanna complete your set on a big step, check out for a starbase. Maybe mashup your turrets with a ship or something, if you dont find something new :)

Ah! So not necessarily *easy*, but pretty straightforward. I do have several other models in the works, for the stations and the juggernaut (the Emperor's flagship from Parting of the Ways) and eventually I plan for every ship to actually have a unique model, so I'll give some thought to what the NSC ships could be covered by!

Some shipsets also have for example different models for their sections. So the STar Trek ones. Having Akira, Excelsior and Olympus all on Cruiser, so you can split thos eAssets apart to fill the role of Strike Cruiser, Battlecruiser and Cruiser

If i know the universe i also try to atleast find a good spot for everything matching the lore

For Shipsets with less models like yours, or like the Dalek have you either resize other ships (what i did to your colony ship, since it looks the best for carrier and Juggernaut) or you Mashup two ships. (like i did for Strike Cruiser) Its just basicly trying to work around it.

Mostly resize does it also. So you for example since Dreadnought is in NSC3 just a bigger Dreadnought its logical to resize the Battleship for a bigger Dreadnought if no assets is there.

Rest is just working moduls on correct places and try to match locators on suiting sections.

Oh damn, that's a surprise! I haven't really had a chance to sit and play Stellaris recently so out of curiosity - what did you do for the Juggernaut? And was it a difficult integration? If it's not a huge amount of work to do maybe I could reconsider NSC integration. But thanks for putting in the work :)

the only issue that needs fixing is the fact ships pop up as biological, making the mod unplayable, i havent had much issues in my playthroughs so far, theyve ironed out much of what was broken

I am aware that this is in need of an update. Unfortunately 4.0 isn't the most stable right now, so I'm waiting for things to smooth out over the course of a couple hotfixes before I sit down and fix it.

Opps, deleted my own comment XD You'd be surprised at what a respray can do, but I understand. The classic series Daleks don't have as consistent a ship design as the new series so I thought recoloring would simplify matters. In the later classic serials, save for "Remembrance," I doubt their ships were Dalek in origin. Thanks for the reply and who knows maybe you'll change your mind in future. For now I'll stick with Cavily's Psilon shipset for my Classic Who Daleks.

Just painting them silver wouldn't be enough to match the classic aesthetic (if I were to do it I'd want a complete redesign to make use of what was already shown like the Imperial dropships and Invasion saucers etc), and to be honest the classic Daleks don't really interest me that much, sorry.

Question for you: Would it be possible for you to do a silver set of these? To match the classic series aesthetic?

@Thijmen2017: though I think that's how it was in the show, however the dalek flagships DO indeed have more of those large spheres that are on the bottom. Though I think that's like the only major difference between the small and large dalek saucers besides size.

Something like what you did with the construction ship, for example. It is still obviously a Dalek ship, but it's just a little different so that it's more unique.

Don't get me wrong, I am a massive Doctor Who fan so I am incredibly thankful that this mod even exists, but wouldn't this mod be miles better if every ship type got at least a unique-ish ship design? Currently pretty much every ship is just a bigger version of the previous ship...

you could always use it's design but reskin it with the cooper Time War style textures

DALEK SHIPSETS ARE SUPREME!

@Combine Overlord: The major things are done, hence my being comfortable enough to release it, but there's definitely still a fair chunk of work to do. All 4 tiers of outpost->citadel (+ visible modules), ion cannons, proper model for titans, juggernauts, colossi, observation/science stations, mining stations, habitats (+ major and minor orbitals), final fighter model, and I feel like there's one or two more I'm still forgetting. Menacing ships and star eaters would be nice too if possible but that's definitely much lower priority than the others, as well as potentially a Horizon Needle if that's moddable. Seems like the Void Sphere would be a good option for that one.

@Namazuo "Horse Poop" Toushiro: It's a good idea, but I have no intention of mixing and matching visual styles. That was one of the big things that bugged me about the other Dalek mod, so I'm striving for a little more consistency with mine.

For those that want a Dalek portrait you can still use Nouvilas' Dalek mod for it's images. Grab another currently compatible potrait mod that is not animated and replace/rename the portraits inside. Make sure the Dalek images match the file names of the images you are replacing and make sure to replace all of them or you'll have to do minor edits to a text file to prevent invisible portraits

Maybe you could use the Dalek saucer from the Daleks' Invasion Earth movie? It's quite unique looking compared to the others but I've always thought it was cool

I am trying to figure out what you have left to do,
like obiously you still have to do the Titan, and fighters as those are placeholders, and also have to do the colossus and juggernaught.
But for the stations, there is a lot, first the obvious is the station and the habitat, but the latter have several minor stations you can build to improve it, and their is the mining stations and research stations, and I think their is also the observation station, and then that massive defense platform that is basically a large gun. Not sure if that is all the things that changes depending on shipset or I am missing a few things.
Also it seems like the city portraits seem to be more related to the shipsets rather then species type.

Sadly the "Dalek Empire" Mod is outdated :/

The game only uses one model for the fighters (amoeba aside). But even if there weren't, they're so small and so rarely seen that I'd probably just stick to a single model anyway. I've got one underway for the Attack Pods from Time of the Doctor, I've just not been in the mood to finish it recently, hence the placeholder model.
That said, they did used to have separate models for fighters and bombers, which might have made for some interesting possibilities. I wonder if the bomber model is used for anything anymore.

neat, I guess the reason why Fungoid ships got chosen as the placeholder is because that is the most dalek looking of the defaults. cannot wait to see what the shipset looks when completed.
and nice to see that you are eventually going to do dalek portraits as well, shame that Nouvilas stopped working on his own mod long before yours came out.

Idea for the Fighters: There are 3 levels of fighters correct? Could you attach a different model to each level? I think the Forerunner mod does this but is separated by unique technologies.
You could use the basic Dalek as Lvl 1, Dalek on Transolar Disc as Lvl 2, and a Dalek Trio on Assault Platform (as seen in Day of and Time of the Doctor) as Lvl 3.

I did! Thank you :) I wanted to do this a few years ago but there weren't any accurate models for the Dalek saucer anywhere online, so I learned how to do it myself and made one. And by the time I'd gotten that finished, I knew how to make other stuff too :P

When I eventually get around to making mine it'll either be just the bronze ones or Paradigms too since they use the same ships, just to keep the visual consistency. Might mix things up a bit and use some of the Big Finish colour schemes like the blue-silver domes for scientists, but obviously details like that are a fair ways off.

Though if someone else decides to make new dalek portraits, I would prefer if they just do the time-war daleks as this ship set fits then the best and we don’t have more then one dalek empire spawning.
(My idea for a dalek portrait mod, would be emperor dalek as the leader portrait, supreme daleks as the officials, black daleks as the scientists and normal daleks as the commanders)
