The official mod has been updated to versions 1.5 and 1.6. Support for the mod has been resumed.

From my research, Anomaly is currently at the back of the purchasing list - from what I understand it's not as much of a framework as the rest and actually quite contained and comparatively linear. It just doesn't have a lot going for it and yet its tied for most expensive. From what I understand the anomaly mod is very linear in how it wants you to counter its content.
Rimworld as a whole is becoming a very expensive endeavor, given a lot of mods rely on one DLC or another, so I see his point. If we assume for a second that the guy who understands game design so well that he wrote a book and created a very successful game understands economics as a large game in itself, and may choose to maximize his gains- I can TOTALLY believe that the developer could be trying to push the envelope in some way.

"Now the developer is deceiving players." Where? Wasnt all or most of Anomaly and the 1.5 patch communicated beforehand?
And for "here are many good indie games that are regularly updated for free and without any paid mods for the price of the game" I know only Starsector and Stardew Valley, as RimWorlds release will be soon 8 years ago, and early access began in 2013, which can make the game over 10 years old. Also Id say, that RimWorld still updates, despite being a finished game. So I dont fully understand this point.
But to everyone their own opinion.
Anomaly feels so out of place.
Some moron on reddit was trying to villainize you about forking these mods and a bunch of people called him out on his stupidity, this just further proves he's an idiot. You are appreciated.
