I've never thought about adding a feature like that...
Usually, this would lag on servers, so; maybe play on multiplayer and see if that is good enough?
I hope you figure out a way that works for you.
I do understand that, however, this does have inf distance, and a custom range setting, so this should actually be perfect for visibility? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But, with the ConVars it can be made good, right? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It does works just fine on Half Life 1 maps however, you can also raise the range value for it to work better on other maps, but yea I totally get what you mean lol.
You can barely use it properly 99% of the time!
Glad to hear! Thanks for the feedback.
For simplicity, I will keep it as a dynamic light entity, but I appreciate the help!
Also, you can change the size of the light using the ConVar: Half_life_1_Flashlight_Range.
I made this myself, however I used Half Life 1 to test stuff to make it as accurate as possible.
Yes, that is normal.
Whats happening is: The flashlight gets detected and is replaced with the Half Life 1 flashlight.

Maybe once I learn more about how Garry's Mod works.
Yes that is true, however this addon is more accurate and feature rich.
I agree, I think it's more fun too.
The maps are Half Life maps, if you have Half Life installed on steam, you can add it to Garry's Mod.
