Half Life 1 Flashlight

描述
ConVars:

Half_life_1_Flashlight (0-1)

Half_life_1_Flashlight_Attach_To_Entities (0-1)

Half_life_1_Flashlight_Red (0-255)

Half_life_1_Flashlight_Green (0-255)

Half_life_1_Flashlight_Blue (0-255)

Half_life_1_Flashlight_Range (0-2147483647)

Convars will save.
Convars can only be changed by whoever is running the server.
Yes it works on singleplayer too lol.

Information:

This addon replaces every players flashlight with it's own system, which acts like the flashlight from Half Life 1.

Images taken with brightness-mode 10, 75 range, attach-to-entites enabled.

Questions And Answers:

Why can I not see my flashlight when looking at something / why does it stop following?
It's very likely that you're looking at an entity, just try setting Half_life_1_Flashlight_Attach_To_Entities to: 0.

Why is the light delayed?
The light is only as fast as the server allows it to be, less lag/ping = less delay, keep in mind, if the problem can't be solved you can always disable it by setting Half_life_1_Flashlight to: 0.

Why is the light changing size?
It only looks like it, some surfaces show the light differently, you can change Half_life_1_Flashlight_Range to a number that works better on the map you're playing on.

Why is the light brightness different on other maps?
It only looks like it, some maps show the light differently, you can change Half_life_1_Flashlight_Brightness_Mode to a number that works better on the map you're playing on.

Why am I getting errors?

I've never thought about adding a feature like that...
Usually, this would lag on servers, so; maybe play on multiplayer and see if that is good enough?

I do understand that, however, this does have inf distance, and a custom range setting, so this should actually be perfect for visibility? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

honestly i only use it because it feels good to use, but if you want actual visibility then this is not for you.

It does works just fine on Half Life 1 maps however, you can also raise the range value for it to work better on other maps, but yea I totally get what you mean lol.

i understand the nostalgia aspect but why would anybody actually WANT to use the HL1 flashlight?

You can barely use it properly 99% of the time!
