Neverminddd, our host figured it out (the answer was, in his words, "copied a file called 'LuaCsSetupConfig' to the dedicated server" and also "EnableCsScripting="true"")

Hi, I and some friends are trying to host a server and have our Soundproof Walls settings sync, but we're seeing an error message of "Syncing Disabled! The server has no config uploaded. You are using your local config." We all definitely have Sync Settings checked. So, like, why does the server "have no config uploaded" and how do we fix that?

Во вкладке «Дополнительно», в списке «Пользовательские звуки», скопируй существующую запись.

Затем измени поле Keyword на уникальный фрагмент имени файла звука. Это может быть любая часть пути (имя папки, ID мода, буква), главное, чтобы она не затрагивала лишние звуки.

Чтобы узнать полное имя файла, включи опцию «Показывать играющие звуки» (в той же вкладке). Когда звук прозвучит, его имя появится на экране (можно сделать скриншот).

Привет! столкнулся с такой проблемой, использую мод THG Armory и турели оттуда, мод использует ванильные звуки, однако SW в динамическом режиме почему-то отказывается нормально с ними работать. Я немного изучил вопрос, возможно мне как-то нужно добавить звуки из них в конфиг, но я полный ноль в кодинге и понятия не имею как это сделать, можете что-то подсказать?

@Envolve - There is no radio static by default. Have you checked your "Radio Static" setting in the Voice tab? If you want a perfectly clear radio, try the "Clean" preset under "Custom Radio Presets" (Voice tab).

Are you perhaps talking about the drowning static effect that plays over the radio when a player is speaking underwater without a suit/mask? If so, scroll down a bit further to the "Drowning Bubbles" option (Voice tab) and disable that.

@etoya228 - You can disable it for voice chat by toggling the "Reverb Local" setting in the Voice tab.

You can also tweak the effect overall by adjusting the various "Unsubmerged Reverb" sliders in the Dynamic tab, including the option to disable the echo entirely.

@rxleurn - Yes. Add "dockingport" to the "Barrier Ignored Sounds" list in the Advanced tab. This will remove any muffling caused by occlusion, walls, doors, or water surfaces on the docking hatch sound.

Alternatively, if you would like to keep that muffling and just make it less prominent, you can add it to the "Custom Sounds" list instead and tweak the "muffleInfluence" value to be lower.

@ChadRat - You can find the config file at:

%LOCALAPPDATA%/Daedalic Entertainment GmbH\Barotrauma\ModConfigs\SoundproofWalls_Config.json

Then edit the "MaxSourceCount" value to be 240 or under. Alternatively, you can just delete the file and a new one will be created with default values.

Also, this issue has been fixed since you first encountered it last week. You can no longer set this value above 240 from the menu.

How do i access the local config file, as i cant configure it because my game is bricked from the max sounds setting.

@Kookoorooza - That sounds good, I would appreciate a video. There's no compression going on in the mod, only lowpassing, reverb, and distortion. With some gain and pitch adjustments.
Classic mode is almost identical to 1.0 and only has the vanilla muffle effect.

Well, i tried, but didnt notice any changes. Ill try to record a video then. Its just always some random compressed sounds happens like always, for example when doors opening/closing.

@Kookoorooza - You can switch to "Classic" mode in the General tab.

I'm curious to know what imperfections you're talking about. The polish and quality of this mod is my top priority so I am highly motivated to fix any issues. If you could be a bit more specific I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes, I could allow the player to hear their own echo, but it might be a lot of work. I'll look into it.

@Black Lenin - You can tweak the muffle levels of any sound. Find the name of the radio channel using the "Show Playing Sounds" setting (Advanced tab), and add part of the filename, or even the mod ID, as an entry in the "Custom Sounds" list in the Advanced tab. There you can reduce the "MuffleInfluence" until you find a level you like. A value near 0.98 will probably work well.

You can also, for example, make the sound ignore walls while still being fully muffled by other sources, like water. For behaviour like that, check out the other lists in the Advanced tab.

Could you add support BarotraumaRadiofor mod? The door just blocks the music for now.
It would be cool to hear the bass from the music echoing throughout the boat.

this mod is excellent -- up until i tried to update it

console said it could not delete a file because the folder was read only; i tried to change its property and remove the read only attribute but it still spouted out the same error

please advise, the mod almost feels essential to my playthroughs at this point because of how polished and immersive it is compared to vanilla

Appreciate the effort put into this mod. My jaw dropped when I loaded in 2.0 with my friends. Clean code aswell! I know everyone always says it, but this mod should be in the vanilla game and I mean it

@Slurpzor - Try enabling the "Disable Vanilla Fade Out" option in the Advanced tab. That might be the cause. If it is, I should have a fix out soon.
