okay the chinese comment below says the same but according to them the change isnt just visual and actually impacts damage done

in addition to the bugs stated below with cacti club and sniper, there is also a visual bug with the "Nail" item that adds engineering scaling to all weapons, it adds them to the projectiles and mousing over them increases the scaling (but atleast in wave 1 it seems the cacti projectiles always do 1 damage regardless)

Same for me here with Creature and Cacti club : projectiles now scales on Curse too, and worse the scaling increases everytime you mouse over the weapon icon.

你好,我在实际游玩时发现了一个bug:
如果使用本mod,当使用攻击产生投射物的武器(如刺棍、雷剑)时,如果拾取了钉子,武器的投射物词条的工程学百分比加成会出错。每当鼠标放在武器上时,工程学百分比加成都会增加,因此无限叠加,导致武器投射物伤害巨高。我在第30波时发现了这个问题,其伤害提升并不只是显示在词条上,而是实际提高了打BOSS的伤害,可以秒杀任何BOSS。
希望制作大佬可以解决此问题,谢谢。

Happened something similar to the Sniper. Burn damage multipliers went nuts, but only the additional scaling multipliers given by items.

No actually it adds up a new damage scaling value. Each spikes does insane damages based on curse, and each time your mouse hovers the weapon, the scaling % increases, ending with like 100.000% scaling (basically clearing the whole map on hit). Didn't see if others weapon were affected but might be.

@Dviinx Did it just show a super high DPS value or did it actually mess with the mechanic in some way? A very high DPS could be explained because it shows what would happen if all projectiles hit the maximum amount of enemies possible

if (piercing > 0) {
dps *= Math.log(piercing + 1) + 1 / piercing;
}

in this example, when piercing is 1, dps will be multiplied by 1.6931471805599454, but when dps is 100, it will only be multiplied by 4.605170185988092

I could offer an option to show the DPS without piercing but otherwise I'm not sure how else to calculate piercing DPS

It's the highest DPS possible, so for piercing weapons it shows what you would get if you hit the maximum amount of enemies you could with piercing. So piercing 99 is not really achievable of course as you would need to hit 99 enemies
