Hey man ive been thinking about working on a similar mod to try to fix troy and turn it into a real total war game. Only issue is my experience with total war modding on these newer games is surface level. Since these are essentially the same game could you show me how you did some of the feats you implemented in this mod?

got game on sale cuz I want to play when they finish the map and make this a full game and not a DLC...

first battle against whichever random dude I fought using your mod was my first experience in the game so when I saw 700 HP it meant nothing to me. Enemy general bodyguard melted almost immediately when charged by my naked spear trash

reloaded without the mod fought the same battle vanilla then saw unit with 7800 HP instead. fought battle and enemy general melted about 30 seconds later to my naked spear trash

game seems pretty easy for anyone who knows how to TW. I started on VH campaign H battle...

did you nerf HP because stronger units are like the Picked Hoplites from Rome 2 for example? Those dbags will sit there being attacked from all sides and not losing a single man while being cycle charged and hit with ranged for an eternity

perhaps. For most of April and all of May, I've had Pharaoh uninstalled. I'll definitely update this mod when the map expansion update comes out.

Love the concept of this mod, thanks for the work. Would just comment from my experience that it seems like units route a little too quickly/easily currently, which makes even slightly outclassed battles extremely trivial and very quick, lasting only a couple minutes or less after contact (where you have around projected 1/2 - 3/4+ yellow on the bar)

Thanks for the mod. The battles feel way better. Chariots just should have more ressistance against missiles. If you have 2 units of bow chariots togheter they kill each other with friendly fire

even with reinstalling the mod the units of iolaos have their old helth pool making them far too overpowered

at least the units of iolaos got a wrong health pool making them absoolutely overpowerd. That´s why I was thinking, that an Update is missing

I've actually already added the sync kills. The larger battlemaps I could add but the mod that does that already is 100% compatible with this so I don't really see the need. If people really want me to add larger battlemaps then I will

Nice battlemod! I think the combat could be even "longer", but the HP system is well done and I did not test high tier units for now. Battles are still to easy vs ai after all I could just win vs 2x my forces due flanking and breaking lines from behind.

Can you add the kill_sync from this mod for matched combat and bigger battlemaps :Birds:

Brilliant. actually makes the games battles fun. I can now encircle someone and not watch them fight for 70 hours as if they're being fucking morale boosted by william wallace. A slight morale improvement if possible, and maybe a bit more archer balancing as well for mid-high tier units.

The more realistic health, especially on generals is fantastic. Feels way better overall. This was my number 1 complaint about battles.

Morale could be better. Units run far too easily from the battlefield even if I have large numbers advantage. Its enough for the enemy to have one unit of chariots that flanks me from behind and half my army is gone. I feel like it needs some tweaks. Maybe im just a bad player I dont know.

cool! never used one without the other, so I never noticed. The higher leathality of your mod makes them a lot more noticeable, pretty neat addition

Oh yeah that one I've actually implemented that mod's (animation) changes already but I didn't know it had all those finishers. That's pretty cool actually

I really like the mods direction. There currently is a mod that adds the post battle sync kills to the units during battles (big game changer imo). Maybe you could add them as well, to make it more shogunish?

I noticed that the changelogs state that the high tide units have been re-balanced for the mod though I only found this to be the case for the generic sea people roster, Walwetes and Ioalas' rosters still have the normal stats. Could be on my end, but nothing I tried changed that fact

I haven't touched the new sea peoples' attack and defence yet. I doubled defence and halved attack to make battles longer but I've not got round to doing it for them yet. I'll do it now probably

Hello! I noticed some inconsistency in characteristics, is it normal that the new factions of the sea people have a very high attack? Even the archers have a higher attack than the most elite egyptian units
And I mean two to four times higher sometimes (only this mod enabled).
I understand that there can be such a balance because their defense is also lower, but even the previous sea people units, before the new factions, had a much lower attack and higher defence

Ah yes, high tide caused some issues unfortunately. I think if I add my changes to the high tide animations tables that should maybeee fix our problems???

As for sandstorms, I haven't tested them but because HP's meaning is negligable now, I can remove the sandstorm's damage

also I would recommend turning down or completely off the weather debuffs... sandstor just killed my army and enemy army in less than 10 min xD

Hey man, your mod is awesome, but with this new update there are units that stay in T pose like the high tier harpooners on see people and IALOS himself is in T pose. Keep making this mod great. Its a very good mod. :steamthumbsup:

also I wanted to add I absoultley love how fragile the generals are, and I hope you will keep it, it reminded me of old tw games from 2000 like first shogun and first medieval where they could die instantly and where not meant to be used as instant fighting force, in the future you could add some bigger bonuses to alive generals so they are used more like a buff standard and are meant to fight only if it's absolutely necessary.
Im tierd of modern tw generals even in more "historical ish" game being immortal demi gods

I think weather damage needs to be reconsidered. Entire units get to quarter hp in a sandstorm before both lines even approach each other. Or are Sandstorms meant to be this lethal?

Thanks. Battle modifiers do still apply yes. In fact, they've been made more significant. Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to have stances affect fatigue if they don't already. The way the effects of stances are presented is through rows on the table affecting a certain stat (for example 'spear wall missile block chance modifier') and I'm not sure if it's possible to add more stats.
