No, you're right. Here's a mod that restores the CS;S boxes back to how they were in Left 4 Dead 1 in Left 4 Dead 1 maps, as well as a bunch of other misc props:

yeah i like the l4d1 textures and other stuff in the l4d1 campaigns cause it brings back the vibes of the first game

the fences come with the mod so that on swamp fever they'll be white and in death toll they'll be the original brown color
