I am here to report a issue with your mod. It would seem that the mod errors out when I play the Mayans? I run many mods and never have had any problems with any other civ. I think it might have something to do with the other happiness mod where shrines get +1 happiness. Because the Mayans get the pyramid, perhaps it breaks the game?
Does anyone have advice that might help? I appreciate it.

can you make an INCREASED unhappiness variant to this mod. I'm trying to make the Into A New Century scenario a bit more difficult. (No one will ever flip ideologies).

Does this work on already saved games that I have started on before installing this mod? Because it doesnt seem like it. I dont want to start a new game since Im many hours deep in a saved game

Can I have a separate download link for a manual installation? Civ won't show this in my mods list while every other mod works just fine. Resubscribing doesn't work either

Really like this mod since i like going tall and some wide, with Ghandi since his UA, can't do this with others civs, because you go bankrup or go really unhappines, but with this mod every civ can do this too. =D (now Ghandi can get -75% unhappiness from pop.)

I didnt noticed that, but the ai always was pretty expansive because it gets benefits you dont have as player.

Does this affect the AI's expansiveness?

I love the game and won't use the mod too much. But when I want to build an expansive empire, unhappiness can be my bane at times. I mean, we're in the ealier stages of the game and I'm going liberty, but other civs still build cities faster than me and work fine. There definitely ways to do this without the mod, but sometimes, you want to relax and expand Rome without the worms going on strike.

No Happiness mod just solves everything but this is a nice one too if you still like happiness mechanic

You have no idea how helpful this will be. Seriously there's times where I'm just so pissed off at the ungrateful assholes living in my empire that refuse to work because they want a sports stadium. Too bad that unlike the REAL empires of the ancient world you can't just enslave them on threat of death or worse instead of having to build yet ANOTHER happiness building for them. It's not a goddamned democracy.

I'm mostly new to Civ V mods. Can you add this to a game you've already started?

nice, now i can finnaly have more than 2 citites. (usually i have to wait for ideology).

I like the idea for this mod, because it's very useful on very huge maps such as Europe and Earth maps, and lets you build more cities and expand to fill all the empty space, especially in the places on the map devoid of civs on TSL (such as Russia or Australia).

@Flipp, if you are refering to just the default Civ 5 then you have a point. But, with ideologies being introduced autocrocy has poilicies that allow you to gain alot of happiness while giving war bonuses.

Since everybody is complaining about balance and stuff, why not just add this as a bonus for completing the honor tree? got honor? wrecking other civs and capturing their cities and getting uncanny amounts of unhappiness? finish it and get shitfuckton of happiness!

@Loncaros: Many things in Civ V make no sense, when you think about it as a "civilization simulator". It's all just abstract game mechanics that try to loosely fit into the world history theme while offering a balanced competitive TBS. But unhappiness for more cities does still make more sense, when you consider that the concept of "corruption" that you had in Civ 3 (don't know about 4) has been merged with happiness. If you want to maintain happiness with more than 4 cities you will have to do more than just connect the luxuries you come across, but the game still offers you plenty of strategies to tackle the problem. In my current playthrough I'm hitting the 20 cities mark and my people are still content, even though many of the cities are conquered. Loads of happiness come from social policies and city states.

@whoever uses the mod: I don't think you're a noob. I just didn't see any meaningful application for this mod and wondered. I'm enlightened now. Have fun.

This one could/should be a good one for going on the Warpath; when you absolutly, positively want to take Bozo DOWN !, before the Idiologies come into play .

Silas, if you play the one true way of 4 cities, a huge capital and tradition, then yes unhappiness is not an issue. However, the only way to combat unhappiness from multiple cities is by not founding more cities than you have luxury resources available, because that is limiting your number of cities hard. +4 unhappiness for a new city is pretty silly and gamistic. Why would people in City A care that city B just became part of your empire? It makes no sense.

+2 happniess form sattrap (bank) can be very useful :3
Than with Freedom, capitalism, you'll get 3 happnies per bank :D!!
Or if you like me and do war madness lol, you can go autocrazy and pick the policy for +3 happnies per courthouse, which helps a lot on a huge map where basicly all my cities are ones I took in war.

I apologize for being offensive. I didn't want to point out anyone as stupid (except the AI), I just wanted to encourage people who are just frustrated of failed attempts to get started, to work out strategies in the game rather than look for cheats. You explained how this mod is not just a cheat but can offer a different civ V experience and I can see how that's true.

No, it just requires this mod. And i dont like how you point on others and call them stupid or not able to play the game right. If you dont like that Mod, just leave it be.

Hmm... When I aim for it (choosing an appropriate civ, building appropriately, grabbing loads of luxuries and allying mercantile CS and so forth) spamming cities all over the place is not hard as it is. And as the game is balanced towards 4 to 10 city empires, having larger ones would require rescaling quite a bit of building benefits and everything, I think. I mean, the AI uses happiness cheats, because it's tremendously stupid, humans (mostly) aren't.

@Silas, at this time about 600 People enjoy playing with reduced Grow Limitations.
Unhappiness is nothing else than a limitation to the Size of our Empire. I love to play on Huge Maps with max Number of Players, where i often get frustated because i cant effort a huge empire. And just to say, its a global benefit, not just for the Player.
So the only thing it really does is to increase the size of your Empire.

It's already far too easy to maintain happiness, to the point that I would rather consider a mod doing the opposite to this one... Whoever feels like he needs this mod probably struggles to understand civV's basic mechanics.

Really, learning how to work around unhappiness is just part of the game. I play on Emperor and regularly have more than 20 happiness in game. Just trade, manage your luxuries, ally with city states, and regulate your growth and expansion levels and you're good to go. Or, use a mod :P
