Nah, too much work. I partially made this because I already had many textures and props I'd made years before for my many imperial maps. So, reusing those made this relatively easy and quick to make.
But if you need a rebel base right now, try using the white walled skin. Perhaps that will feel rebel-y enough, since that does actually use rebel wall textures and is kinda intended for that purpose.

Using the track assembly tool with this addon would be better than using the advance bonemerge

But if you want resources for a map, you should check my other addons. I've got plenty of models and materials that will be useful for creating maps.

For the ships there's pretty much no difference between the republic and imperial styles. You can just use the standard imperial for republic. Basically nothing here is exclusive to the empire.

Right now, they're just decorational models, yes. If someone wants to code some type of mod that automates building a base, they could probably make the doors functional as well.

Well, if there's like a world shadow, that's baked into the map itself and will always be there. Which is why I suggested placing the base in a better lit area. And while the base modules do cast their own shadows, they don't self shadow or on each other. So that shouldn't be an issue.

f22 the black is just becuase of the map having bad lighting try finding a mod to turn off shadows and it should be fine

It sounds like one of two things. There's an issue in the Source engine that when materials aren't set up correctly, they'll flicker (when prop materials are used for world surfaces). But that shouldn't happen here since I set up the materials correctly and they work fine on my end.
The other is that you might have placed your base in a shaded area like I mentioned before. If you place it in a dark location, then yeah, it will be dark since it's shaded like a prop. If you put it in a sunny location such as on the grass, in flatgrass, then it should be lit normally. If the base is placed in a half shaded area, then some modules might be dark. While it can be a bit annoying, that's perfectly normal and just how the shading engine works. So try spawning it in differently lit locations.
Could you maybe post a screenshot if that doesn't work?

That's really weird. Does it only happen after you've made it into a dupe? I tested duping it and had no problems myself on flatgrass and construct. Make sure you lock the building into place when walking on it. Otherwise it might shift around slightly, since it's a physics object.

Nope. It is black besides the glowy bits inside. I've noticed that interacting with it (walking on it) makes it shift to its normal colors for a few seconds. This occurs in Construct in flat grass and highway 14800 bridge. It also darkens in Novenka, but doesn't turn fully black.

I don't know how that would be possible. It has perfectly normal materials. Did you spawn in the base in a dark location? Since it doesn't have its own real light, it's subject to the lighting in the environment.

This is honestly really damn cool! My only issue with it is that when I save a base as a dupe, it turns completely dark. Do you know what's causing it, and how to fix it?

That's not what they are made for. There are much other ways to achieve better results in Hammer. All of the detail props and materials are also available separately in my other packs. It literally makes no sense to use these in Hammer.

No. I made this specifically for in game use.
It's completely unsuitable for use in the Hammer editor and will not yield good results.
