Game crushes when passing the round, it seems that this mod is unstable with big mods such as sfo which I used, is it?

That works too, each character conversion is based off an existing character type. Chaos is messy because of the patchwork of characters, some have upgrade paths mapped out and some don't so you just need to look in the menu to see what's available.

@chris0 ,so would need to level up the lord to turn them into demon prince or whatever upgrade you choose before attaching to the army as a hero ?

Some may be missing and no, the lord and hero upgrade path is based on character type, so if the hero version has an upgrade mapped out it would follow that instead.
