Unfortunately it seems to be random on whatever or not things work after building it from a blueprint. Most of the time it does but I have noticed it with other creations when playing with friends and we print ships that they don't always work properly for no apparent reason.
Tho if that happens we ususally just delete it and paste in a new one with the creative tools since we already used the resources to build it.
I did build it manually with hand tools and I had to setup every action listed in the readme too, i assume because i built it manually. Is there a way to build these ships without having to "re-wire" them? just print and go?
Sometimes items do not get added into the toolbars properly when doing a manual build so you may have to add in a lot of stuff on your own. Those control keys you mention should be as follows:
2 - TML TB Tools ON/OFF (main) > Trigger Now
3 - TML Hinge 3x3 > Reverse
4 - TML Camera Rear > View
6 - TML Connector Rear > Switch Lock
and the EvC you mentioned should have TB Tools Weld (Secondary) Set to Toggle Block ON and Toggle Block OFF in slot 1 and 2.
If there is anything else that seems to be missing just check the ReadMe file on the side of the ship.
TML EvC Hingle Weld (+) has an error where the selected blocks is an unknown block. is this why?
Also the scrip itself does not do anything with the hinge or welders, it just reads the cargo status based on the specific tags or lines in the object name. The ship is fully functional without the script but you wont get a cargo readout on the LCD's.
when i broke it previously my game had been running for 8 hours, so it could be one of them memory leaks or some other corruption thats still in the game, like the speaker bug, but with the new blocks resetting.
I was honestly confused by this, as apart from some fun times with the docking setup you use (I spent a while trying to get that working on the M6, which I figured out eventually) I've found WHI ships very easy to build/ set up manually. The original version of the TML was a breeze to build/ use, with no issues whatsoever. Love that ship.
TML2 - Grinder
TML2 - Welder
With spaces and all.
As far as I can tell everything was named correctly, as mentioned I went over everything as listed in the readme multiple times...
that said, ended up crashing the game without saving for a while (Doh!) and had to revert to before I even built the printer, so no rush....Decided to build your big truck to go along with the MK. 6 I built earlier today..gonna take a while .(Really love your designs tbh, so building an entire stable of WHI equipment).
Does the welder turn off when you switch the tools? (if not can be an EvC error)
Does the timer block "Tools ON/OFF" have both the Grind and Weld TB's in it set to 'trigger now' and do their respective tools groups have them set to turn on/off?
Is the Hinge selected for both EvC's and has the AND GATE checked on?
Group names are case sensitive so make sure the grinder is added to the correct group.
The front-most TB should switch to green when the grinder is selected and red when switched away, and the middle one when the welder is selected or de-selected.
Pretty sure this is a me problem, but I just can't see what I've done wrong. Any advice would be welcome, as I really liked the old version, and this one is definitely nicer to fly imo.
