not too against the balance either, I just didn't like that the actual tax decrease was not the same as what was said

So looking into the income tax decrease, it is applied both to the nation and then at the pop level. So currently the child text credit is applied twice, effectively doubling the cost to 2% per level. I am happy with the balance, but if you want to change it, just open common/law/00_birth_control and change the tax credit law to "tax_income_add = -0.005".

I’ll take a look. I haven’t dug that deep into it. It’s the same modifier used in a couple of events, so it should work.

do you have any clue as to why the child credits is being counted in the tax calculations?
Asking because empire wide it gets counted so if you have a 10% income tax it becomes 5%, but then at the pop level it seems to be counted again making the tax 0%

I am not sure. I don’t know how BPM changes things. It should work as long as ideologies work.

Could edit the Child Tax Credit and Church Mandated Procreation to only affect accepted pops, its peterbing when you are trying to ethnically replace Poles/Irish/Kazakhs to suddenly find there are 5 million more of them. Thanks alot.

@SovG Feel free to balance it on your own if you feel it is too powerful. My opinion is that the birth rate buffs Paradox has in game take 50-70 years to have a real impact, and my goal with this mod is to provide a more immediate and flexible control of population.

Hey man. It's too OP. The bonuses are too high. I think it would be best if they were nore vanilla like. Laradox doesn't give huge bonuses generally. Instead of +10% birth rate per level maybe try 2% instead so it's balanced. The AI should use those too imo if they were more balanced. Please consider

Cool idea, was looking for smth like this! But isn´t Child Tax Credit too powerfull? 1% tax income is extremly little ammount for 10% birth rate.
