Also, I actually set her event chance to 100% several updates ago and never changed it back to 60%, so it should still be guaranteed to trigger.

Getting a mod error alert after amber joined my camp on the 4th day. Syas something about character behavior conflicts.

@jtcbrown Hi! Thank you for the feedback. I intentionally added a mod alert to indicate that the event for spawning duplicate characters has been disabled. Did you happen to receive it as an actual error in the log, or was it just a message?

Amberly showed up as a wanderer or some such. After 3-5 days or so, started getting mod alerts in-game. Did not *see* any issue occur beyond that. Just FYI.

@Mantastic At first, I thought giving instant health along with the buff would be too OP, so I only increased the max HP and let the health recover slowly on its own. That made it feel a bit awkward. But when I look at her overall… she’s already super OP anyway, haha.

Appreciate the change on that. :) I think the other Neurosurgeon buffs more than make up for the temporary 50HP buff being removed.

Hmm~ I think I’ll just remove it myself. It seems to be quite annoying, and I’ve noticed that a lot of people don’t like it either.

Thanks for the feedback! If you'd like to remove the health boost, you can go to the health condition called Ammy_Neurosurgeon and delete the +Modify MaxHealth +50 entry in the modifier layer. That should completely remove the boost.

Hey I like the mod, but I tried to delete the health boost in the mod manager unfortunately didn't work, the boost is annoying as it looks like people are injured when they aren't so unsubbing so nice mod but the above issue is too annoying

@Mantastic Your mod introduces a whole new way to play the game, and I love it so much! As for my mod, I created it based on my understanding, using several other mods as examples, since I’ve never written code before. Any updates from now on will probably just focus on fixing bugs or making small adjustments. Initially, I wanted to add new characters, but there are already so many mods like that now, so I think this is where I’ll stop for the time being.

Thank you for your feedback! The character currently provides a buff that increases the Max HP of nearby characters by 50, but the HP does not immediately fill up (it only expands the Max HP pool). This might make it seem like the health is dropping initially.

I’m working on finding a better way to handle this, and I’ve seen previous suggestions about adding a toggle for this ability. However, I’m still figuring out how to implement it.

Used her once and made everyone else ill. there health suffered. they were ok when i sent her out in the balloon.

Came back to this mod after a while, and I gotta say, this is extremely well made and refreshing to have so many unique mechanics to her. Looking forward to any updates in the future.

[IX] Linarielle I'll try to find a way to add an option like you suggested, maybe a toggle for the HP buff or other abilities. But lately, I've been really into RimWorld and Kenshi, so I've been working on mods for those games instead. I haven't had much time to update this mod, sorry about that!

your mod is realy nice! the only thing that prevent me to use this character is the +50 HP buff, the red bar of my collonists constently healing make me igniore real wouds :/
maybe an option to disable it ?

Thanks for letting me know and I'm glad you like my characters. My original intention was to create a balanced characters similar to the characters in the main game, but after creating traits for the characters, it turned out to be a lot more cheating. I don't want to delete her traits, so I'm going to leave it like that and reduce her stats to a very low level and make her unaffected by her own traits instead.

I was worried that there would be many people who wouldn't like it, but when I see comments like this, I'm very happy and grateful. Thank you.

@zapow it's +50 max health when your character receiving buff so it's not damage but it need time to regen to the new max health and if you character go out from the buff range, the buff will gone and you survivors health will go back.

I seem to having an issue with her receiving care trait. All my other survivors are taking hits to their health on a regular basis for no apparent reason and then need to recover HP.

@caschel If the notification says "Disable Amberly's Recruit Event!" it means her recruit event has been disabled because you already have her in the camp. If not, I'm not sure about the issue. Could you provide more details, please.

Hi! Every time Amberly appears the game says that a mod( guess it's this mod) is messing with the logic of the game and I may experience odd behavior. Did you ever get this message?

And I forgot to change her recruiting event back to 60%, I set it to 100% for testing the mod. So after 10 days she will come to you at the camp.

I'll change it back in the next update.

@Cache 42 It was very far from what I had planned. If talking about her OP or not. She won't be very good if you have few survivors in your camp. Because she didn't receive the effects of her own traits.
If you solo with her, you will get the survival that need to sleep 2 time a day instead.

So more survivals = More OP she is.

Thank you for notifying me about the issue. It appears that the game freeze was caused by a trait error in my mod, which I have now corrected. As of 12/15/23 this character use will not let the game load after the crash scene, just get a black screen. THEY KILLED AMBERLY,

I am SO rolling my game game back until Amberly gets fixed. Can't play without her now lol.

As for changes to her? I like to play insane diff. so I remove her starting gear except for some basic clothes and I remove any known techs. That's all personal play style though. I love the triggered events and how she evolves the whole camp over time. It's a lot of fun. OP as heck, but man is it fun!

new patch broke Amber mod, when she came to join the base, she spawns with no portrait and as a generic bald guy. No clothes nor gears, and can't seem to manually control her. She's like a ghost running around the base. Old saves before the new patch seems fine tho.

1. About warning popup issue : I checked in the mod community and found that the popup might be caused by the mod being created before the update. Unfortunately, I don't know how to check this issue either. Maybe wait for a patch to fix it, I think.
2. About the event : Amberly recruit event has a 60% chance. I don't know of based-game recruit events, but it's definitely an RNG-based not 100%. (These events are done separately so they do not affect each other.)

I sometimes get a warning popup about a mod related issue, but I have no idea what actually went wrong. Is there any log I can check to see which mod it is? Last run I had no more suvivor events and Amberly never showed up.

@Mantastic I adjusted the character's work speed to balance against her rapid fatigue rate. Without this adjustment, she wouldn't be able to efficiently complete tasks, and I designed this character to be highly intelligent. Therefore, the additional speed may make the character a bit op, but that's the intention. If the increased speed is comparable to the speed of other skills, it wouldn't be considered a specific advantage.

Neat character and I dig the support aura, but her research ability is way broken in terms of balance. She makes all research trivial with how fast she does it.

So, I just created another event without a pop-up that triggers when Amberly is in the game. This event cancels the event that you mentioned earlier, meaning if you didn't choose Amberly at the starting survivors, this cancellation event won't occur because the conditions are not met.

@Adonnay The latest update will have a notification that appears in the top right corner of the screen when you play by selecting Amberly as the starting character. The notification says, "Disable Amberly's Recruit Event!" indicating that the corresponding event for recruiting Amberly has been canceled. This should address the issue you mentioned earlier.

์Normally, I don't select Amberly as a starting character. Because her already has an event to join your group. So I didn't check it in detail.
