You're asking a lot of a person who just did some lazy maintenance fixes, probably won't go that in-depth myself. I'm certain it's possible, but it would need a good bit of research to facilitate.

EDIT: it just defaults to chaingun

Is there any chance of this getting compability with Starfall? (It partially works, reserach can be done FROM modded weapons but they generate their vanilla counterpart)
