I agree with Mike Hendle, it will be great if the Natal old main line can be made. I grew up in Kloof and have fond memories of this great line snaking through the valley of a thousand hills. It's also one of the oldest railway lines in South Africa, if not the oldest..

Thanks. I'll download your version and take a look at it. I don't know if I'll really do anything or not. I'm just in the "thinking about it" stage right now because I like the route in general. It sure would be a lot of work. There's a lot of floating and/or buried assets in the original.

Not supporting this route right now. Kinda went back to some of the German Routes, specifically the Hagen - Siegen Route to update or combine some of the RSC scenarios for that route. If you want, you can use my modifications to this route, if you want.

Are you still working on revising this route? I really like this route in general but the floating trees and sunken buildings have turned a lot of people off. I thought I might try doing some editing on the route but don't want to step on anyones toes.

Sorry for the longgggg wait for a test scenario. Just having a little case of scenario writers block for this route... I might expand the PMB area to include some more industries. If anyone has an idea for an industry please leave a comment. So far I was thinking of these [1] Petrol Tank Farm of six or eight tanks. [2] An aloe farm to ship out aloe products. [3] Canned or packaged food plants (ones that require no refridgeration). [4] PMB Coal fired Power Plant.

Test Scenario freezes upon load. Reworking a shunting scenario.

Just a thought some time in the future could you do the old main line from Durban to Pietermaritzburg via Pinetown, Kloof,it's a far more intersting route from Durban than the line via Marionhill and Cato Ridge,when I was at Pinetown quite a lot of trains were hauled by 1E locomotives,I can remember them in SAR Green

Sorry for the long pause between posts. Since Aug 20th, the route was fighting against me, with wierd errors, general movements error and duplicate car issues. Now, the scenario is a lot more stable. I just have to figure out one more section, before creating a 15 to 20 car cut of random wagons so that the player can just stop, drop and go.

hi just wondering if you have given up with this route,as on the 20 Aug you said you were going to set up a test scenerio but so far nothing has been uploadded.
I really like the route as I used to work on the Durban section of the route on the Old Main Line at Pinetown Goods Yard

@mikehendle: Thanks for the input. I really didn't know if the Free Roam scenario went with the route, but it seems it did not. Let me upload the test scenario for everyone to use.

I have down loaded this version,but don't seem to be able to use free roam,although the new version shows up in quick drive,there is no sign of it in free roam,just the original version is showing,maybe it needs a small scenerio to get it to work.
even in quick drive it will not work as there is no start or finish point.
I really enjoy this route especially as I worked for SAR\SAS in the 1970's,to the south of PMB
