Updated with @jon suggestion, lineskip is now adjustable via a keypad. Also increased default resolution from 720x96 to 720x144 (so you can use the image up/down buttons as well)

You should see about adding a way to save scans somewhere. Im not too familiar with lua so idk if thats possible, but i think it would be cool id you could, and even if not this is still really amazing

Thank you! I realy hope someday we could have an SAR Radar which could Maps the terrain of the game on larger distances.

what are the chances you could modify it so you can change the "lineskip" when in game like through a number panel

system takes a decade to read the surrounding terrain but the resolution is unmatched

wow! this would be great for navigating a ship in heavy fog or something. I normally use the Horus setup on my ships for that, but this will have an even better view of whats actually around me.

Can you think of a way to tie this into some kind of collision avoidance system? I'm making one with 3 forward facing lasers that each scan 1/3 of the space in front of me. the logic is very crude though.
