The people running the internet you are using right now are not your friends, they are thieves and robber barons. Using adblock and piracy are not theft. There is no material to steal. The internet exists separate from the real world. It is ideal in the sense that it exists post-scarcity. Any attempt to force our modern system of intellectual property onto that is futile and greedy at best.

Intellectual property is a fallacy in itself. It is an arbitrary line in the sand we draw. How many years does it last? What counts as IP? Who defines these rules? More importantly, why do you defer to them the authority to do so?

The internet as normal people were allowed to use it started with small messageboards between college staff and students. This was called Usenet. AOL ruined it when they started selling access commercially, and the place was flooded with ads and spam.

Just because it's illegal doesn't mean it's wrong. Go 3d print a machine gun and pirate a movie.

the internet was not created for and is not sustainable on a commercial basis. We have been seeing the internet fail for the last 10 years and it's only now starting to seriously affect people because a bunch of guys in high places are making massively braindead decisions after realizing that advertisers and other time vampires alone cannot sustain the infrastructure necessary to run the internet as we know it today.

Twitter, reddit, youtube, imgur, all of these massively popular sites are doing things outright hostile to their users, because being nice does not make enough money. Anyone who has used youtube without adblock in the last 2-3 years will know how egregious the entire advertisement ecosystem is.

Before those were failing, we saw tumblr go down. they banned NSFW because they couldn't advertise and couldn't be on apple's mobile store. Apple's mobile store disallowed it because advertisers don't like NSFW.
