The lead developer of Fables was kind enough to fix this on their side. So this should no longer be an issue after the next update of Fables is released.

You are right - I managed to reproduce that. However I can't find the source code of Calamity Fables, so it would be hard to fix it. I'll try asking in their Discord.

Hey, is there any way you could make a config to just enable and disable the mod because it is a lot easier than having to disable the mod in the main menu and go through all the loading screens

@Molten Sh4dow not happening, that doesn't make sense. You get fall damage cancelling items pretty early in the game anyway.

@delirium the lag isn't caused by the mod.

im not sure how, but could it be done so that falling through a platform still resets your fall damage/ flight time/ double jumps since im pretty sure this mod is just supposed to be a sped up version of landing and then falling through a platform, but you lose out on that aspect of falling through platforms in vanilla.

@药糖 I didn't know that there was a way to make platforms instantly fall through in the base game!!! That does make me feel better especially if it's possible! I use the Magic storage mod as well and I was very on the fence about it because I didn't know if that would be considered cheating as well T^T! But I tried it and I like it! (I still use regular storage a lot but I like that I can do both and have a central storage unit with almost all my items and weapons, and then just separate the rest that I want to keep out like pets and mounts and pictures and furniture! Thank you 药糖! :D

It really depend on how YOU think Devour, if it makes you uncomfortable then don't, if you like it then add it.
Besides there is a way to make platforms able to be fallen-through instantly, it's just annoyingly boring to hammer so many platforms one by one, if that helps you make your decision.

can someone help me morally accept this mod so that I can use it. I really like it and find it super useful but have a hard time knowing if I should use it in my mods selection. I feel like maybe it's like cheating? I specifically didn't add vein miner because I felt like that defeated a very large, and intended mechanic of the game. So does this fall in the same category? Not to say that anyone who does use this is "cheating" but the whole "Quality of Life" mods ween on the side of "cheating" in my opinion. So I try to be really careful on which ones I pick so that I don't make the game too easy or something like that. I personally find getting stuck on the blocks slightly annoying but when it comes to boss fights being able to drop through multiple platforms is a blessing. But perhaps it's not intended like that since the vanilla makes it so you have to wait a nano-second before dropping down again... Love the mod though.

That doesn't make sense, just don't fall through if you want your flight time to be reset.

this is a great mod, but it removes one of the most important features of platforms: restoring flight time. if you can make the platforms restore your flight time without stopping you that would be absolutely perfect.
