If you go back through the comments, you'll find a post where I linked to a sort of tutorial.
See if that answers your question.
Should be pretty easy; just copy the shield section from the Ironsworn variantmeshdefinition and copy it to the Infernal guard's variantmeshdefinition.
Try this mods, mayby here you find something to your fancy;

Also here's my mod list for ChaosDwarfs (not everything work with eachother);
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2964567590
Well that's this mod autor idea not mine so idk, I would make submod and edit it if I could but I really lack on that kind of a knowledge.
Also amazing guys (more like toxic bastards) at "modding den" don't help me learn anything, more like they were joking from me and then avoid me... they only help their close circle of adoration, so good luck finding help there unless you kiss them in their ass.
I just wanted to ask that the hell guard elite add gloves with iron fingers like the hell castellan, and chest armor like his, it would all be cool to see the hell guard sworn iron. And to change their shields, of course https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2963480993&searchtext=reskin+dwarf
Shields and helmets of the elite guard look very cool in this fashion
Try this mod then "Hashut's Gunpowder Units ( Vanilla v5.2, TTC Support ) (REQURES CHD ASSET PACK)" there's prety nice stuff in it, maybe you find in it what you want.
Also I made this variation "Chorf Tweaks (minor visual changes) VANILLA_DRAZHOATH" of this mod for all who don't want mask on drazhoath.
just wanted to ask the creator to make some adjustments to improve the game.
Glad to hear it.
I linked to some tutorials a couple of comments back.
Try those and then come back to me with anything you're still unclear on.
I made may mod earlier but I made it public now so here it is for everyone;
drazhoath orginal appearance mod
Sorry for the radio silece. I'm pretty busy atm, so I can't check the comments as often as I'd like. Glad to hear you figured it out.
@-=LIVING_LIT4NY=-
Yeah, go right ahead. I consider everything I upload freeware.
I'm also annoyed but only by the change drazhoath appearance, so I fixed it!
@Nimue
I would like to upload a modified version of your mod with all credits of it's making to you, will you agree to that?
Not gone but the face is swiped from the Dwarfen Shieldmaiden mod, I just retextured it.
So you should probably ask the creators for permission.
Ah, that'd be the leftovers from my attempted FermDraz mod : https://imgur.com/a/RKGVSMD
Ended up scrapping it becouse I couldn't get the braids to stop clipping XD
i only changed the uniform colours, not the banners.
Is it possible you got some other mod causing the change?
And yeah, you can apply the the Ironsworn helmets' effect on any model that doesn't already have a glowing effect. I layed out the process in my reply to Jessica.
Glad to hear it :)
@caillebot.yvon
Go to variantmeshes/variantmeshdefinitions and delete chd_infernal_ironsworn.variantmeshdefinition.
Is it possible you are using the rigidmodel instead of the wsmodel?
The glow effect doesn't actually show up in-game unless you are using the wsmodel, similar to how blood won't shop up on rigidmodels, and said wsmodels must have material files that enable a glowing effect.
Heresome brief explanations on the
glow texture [i.imgur.com] and the
way material files work [i.imgur.com]
If you want to just use the shields as they are, simply copy all the relevant directories over to your mod and make sure your variantdefinition refers to the wsmodels.
You need either the Packfile Manager (rpfm) or Asset editor. Links to both can be found on the Modding Den Discord: https://discord.gg/moddingden
Then navigate to the packfile (search for "chorf" in your steam directory), open it and delete all the unwanted bits: Here are some pointers [/url. Then just save the changes to the packfile. [imgur.com]
LLs don't get affected by faction colour, so you'd have to modify the actual texture for that:
variantmeshes\wh_variantmodels\hu3\chd\chd_zhatan\tex\chd_zhatan_body_01_base_colour.dds
Most grphic editor programms have some sort of DDS plugin available online.
