Maybe you could create a separate mod without uploading it, so you can test out changes without worrying if it'll screw it up. When I modded project cartographer I used Mr. Mohawk to change elite models, and was able to set the animations with assembly. I haven't done it in a while, but I think you can find the offset for the model in assembly. Once I figured it out it was super easy, and I'm pretty sure there's a video on how to do it too.

It's probably the same reason in heresy and blasphemy when I fixed those, it needs instead of a generic biped of a heretic elite or flood heretic elite, that it needs a custom player biped with the added animations. Problem is that what will happen most likely next is the cool glowy lights on the armor stop working which I'll need to address after. But that's more than likely it. Easy fix but gonna need to open guerilla and add new bipeds, relink them and and to scenario then add the extra animations copied over. I'm trying to remember if both these bipeds have the animations with the sword or ends it might be a bit trickier to pull off

@Meruem Correct, I need to push another update with version number but I got busy last two weeks so I haven't been on. I'll update all my mods soon when I get some free time. Luckily this time it's a quick fix but it's time suck to do for all my mods.

@You're welcome Girth and I'll try to see if I can figure out when it's not animating. I have a feeling I know why it isn't and I need to make the biped of the player variant flood and Heretic a separate tag and adjust and melee animations like I did when the honor guard brute and elite on the Blasphemy mod.

@xferginatorx The heretic and flood, and I do like the fog because if you see a combat form off in the distance you can't tell if it's friend or foe until you get close, it's just a bit disorienting. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

@Girth ...interesting. I didn't catch that about the sword. I'll have to check it out when I get back on. That's unfortunate to hear. Trying to remember if that was a known issue with some ai lacking animation. Was it Heretic or flood that didn't have it?

As for fog, maybe I'll turn it down. I wanted it to be an added effect to prevent long distance sitting back killing and allow the flood to be able to get up and close since they have the low ground and wanted to also make iy so the JJuggernautcould sometimes catch Heretic players off guard. But if it's too extreme I'll tweak it down.

I was hoping to add something special where a working lift would carry heretics down the lift when they spawn in and that flood could climb up the conveyer holes but sadly I just couldn't get them working like they do in campaign. Was hoping to add that in for some immersion.

I came back to this after a while and it seems to have turned out really nice. My only complaints that I have are that there's no animation for the energy sword and the fog is REALLY thick. Other than that, great mod. :steamhappy:

@Meruem sorry been stuck on trying to figure out how to get lifts and ai climbing to work but nothing is working for that so I'll just release it as is. It's mostly done with a spawn and alliance that needs to be set then converted to maps then uploaded to steam workshop. If I'm not busy should be by this week

Hearing a lot are saying this about some mods. I fear that the recent update needs me to update all my mods. I'm going to have to go through and check all my mods. If you guys can go through and check I'll have to go back in and check everything all over again

I'm not sure what I've done wrong but even after multiple reinstalls I cant seems to start the mod or even find it to start it. I thought this was a campaign mod but I cant find it on the campaign menu.

One last thing to note. Even though it's not confirmed, there are talks about a big update for MCC that was supposed to happen early 2023, but so far nothing, many in the mod community had speculated a bit. My hope was 3rd person ability for CE/2C in Guerilla as one of the improvements. If that ever does happen, I can skip the whole fp animations and go full 3rd person. But can't keep my hopes up that will happen. Though it will be nice instead of needing DLL files that break every time the game gets even a small update

@Girth ya I want to add FP_armor and body. Turns out you can't add them in assembly as I had hoped, apparently H2C in assembly doesn't support tag injection. I wanted to get something out but I do agree it breaks immersion. Since the only way to do it is by changing the FP_body and FP_arms is in Guerilla which means every time I'll have to reset, I have that planned as the last edit before I save the .scenario to .map and then do assembly edits and hopefully with finalize it.

Just was working on a new mod to bring back a legacy mod. Plan is I have a set list of mods I'm gonna do before I take a break from anything new. When I hit my limit, I'll do my 2.0 updates and everything will be in final form with maybe some, if needed, an additional update.

Ya if I could just tag inject I would have gladly done it. Apparently from Zedd it was a WIP for H2C MCC but was never able to fix the bug issues. But the FPs are going to change in the future update

Thank you both for feedback. I haven't checked in for a while. All my modders are staged for a 2.0 update. I think this time I found a clever way of always keeping AI just under 30 actors so they never go braindead. I'm just figuring out how to make the heretic descend from the lift while the flood climb out of the holes. They both will take some time.

But already updated this map so now it has an atmosphere of laboratory fog to add a creepy vibe. As well as with the rebalanced ai spawner working, the sentinels will be brought back.

The flood Juggernaut is getting some improvements as well.

I see you know how to use assembly. Real talk though, most people wouldn't be able to pull something like this off, and while it didn't quite live up to my expectations, it certainly out-performs other mods that try to do something like this. Good on you for trying to make something different, and try not to let negative feedback discourage you from making anything else. What would have tied it together though was a first-person model for the hands and body; I see my shadow and know that I am a heretic/flood, but it doesn't immerse me enough. I've modded for Halo 2 vista before, so I know it's possible. Again, keep up the good work dude, I look forward to more of your work and hopefully an update for this map. :steamthumbsup:

To answer your question about dislikes: theres a good amount of people (both now and even back in Custom Edition days) who really dont like seeing "Multiplayer Map but with AI edited into it and thats it" posted, either on a principle or because it makes it harder to find Original Creations/rebalances/remakes or demakes/etc. I fully understand both reasons but I do atleast hold out hope that some modders who do this will eventually make something more original and hopefully MP edits are just a modding warm up/practice and not the only thing ever done.

I see this is doing positively well so far but I do see some more dislikes. Would like to know what the dislikes are to see if it can be improved?
