I uninstall the mod and get about 15 more fps. xD

I have less than 10 mods and I'm getting constant 40fps with 1 second long stutters once every 5 seconds. And the game refuses to use more than 3% of my gpu or cpu.

most likely not as this was made to edit some of the settings in OldBound
oSB has it's own fps tweaks to fix stuff i would also say 60ish fps is good for StarBound trying to push any higher with a heavy modded game would be hard

not sure if this works with oSB, im still at 62 fps according to steam

Could you make a simple mod that would permanently remove items that drop after death, that would be interesting

i have only used it on windows as my linux build i use OpenSB

didnt work on Arch Linux x86_64 with kernel 6.6.64-1-lts using KDE 6.2.4 wayland, using Ryzen 9 5900HX and RTX 3050 Ti M.
menu opens, but game crashes when i load character
also the fps is still locked in the main menu

so good that its too fast

To add though the patch project and the quest manager fix did just fix the stutters so thats nice thanks for the recommendation

So what does the mod actually do internally to starbound? Just remove the cap? which by the way yeah it wasnt able to uncap mine either and i seem to still be getting alot stuttering so might be just not working

Works... sort of. Something's a little funky and I get major lag spikes at surface/subsurface underground as well as space, but not on surface, deep seafloor, or underground biomes.

this makes my chinese spyware pc run starbound so much better

The lag I had was caused by quests and byos ship crew, so no wonder this mod couldn't help.

Apologies are in order, hopefuly somebody will come up with a fix for that later on.

this mod mainly does help for people whom are stuck below 60

personally it wasn't a germatic change in fps but definitely helped improve it by 5-7 fps. this mods awesome.

it only happens when i get new recipes. (as far as i've seen.)

but the best part, is that rather than lasting for nearly 10 seconds,

@[BC] TheBlu04: Sure this one mod in particular might not really do magic, but what you just said is completely false. Starbound already has several like the Quest Optimizer that really does its job. Gmod, even more- has simple ones that remove unused hooks or if you like a more robust one there's GOPT that optimizes the rendering for a bigger server.

You won't really notice much on a powerful rig, but I'm with the people here who also experienced having to live with a toaster PC. A toaster with 3-10 fps on this game gets up to 23 fps boost after installing even something as simple as a texture compression mod already makes a huge difference.

Next time I advice looking into things more and do research before dropping huge comments. We never know we might be helping with spreading fake news.
