And now I heard about the complete overhaul of building ownership in Sphere of Influences 1.7 coming out in a bit less than two months and I've got a couple of things going on IRL... so not sure if I'll update it.
If I come back to this mod, I wanna make canals as a whole more interesting and perhaps add some others, which requires a fair deal of work and planning. We'll have to see of 1.7 changes up the game.
However, I had a proper update in the works back for 1.3 that also added some additional events and some other small things. But then 1.4 got released. And then I tried out the 1.5 beta and holy molly now I can't go back. 1.5. will add so many necessary features and shakes up the entire economy and adds a bunch of vanilla buildings.
Again, I'm fairly certain even this old version of the mod technically still works for 1.4, but I'll probably wait to get back into Vic3 until 1.5 is fully out and then release an update and/or incorporate this mod into another small mod that adds "Partial Nationalisation" to a few other key industries (like oil).
But hey, thanks. I'll add your translation soon and give you a mention.

That all said, the Kiel canal might actually be the one outlier here, because the baltic sea node and the north sea node are already next to each other, and such it might not need (as much) changing of vanilla map files.
