Hi all. Bloodworth added me as a contributor to the mod and I'm looking forward to continuing development on it.

For now, first priority is bug fixing. Going to sift through the comments below (which are fairly old) and see what issues are still around.

If you're still actively using the mod and notice bugs, balance issues, quirks, etc., please post them in the Discussion thread above.

excavation is not a task thats done wether or not assigned PX or otherwise.

Ups, hate answering myself, just read the thread about mining - seems that excavation is not bound to the work schedule, so people assigned to work are forbidden to mine.

Assigning them to "any" schedule seems to work. Please fix this in a future update ;)

Excavation/Mine is broken somehow broken for me. After a fresh load of a save, assigned people do it once and then never aqain. I can manually draft them, but they just won't do it automatically again.

Often exactly after people finished excavation job a popup with "Mod related problem detected." shows, but because of it's cryptic nature I can't pinpoint it exactly.

The tech pistol has no icon in the crafting list.

Otherwise I'm really enyoingthe mod, kepp up good work.

Cooking and mining works fine for me, with or without being combined with a batch crafting mod.

cooking is broken, no one can cook anything and so no one can lvl up in cooking, same for mining

I've played the mod with the new Guardians scenario. Everything went well but unfortunately when the event Emergy Transmission occurs (it should bring a new survivor chased by Consortium) , it just crash to desktop. If I disable the mod everything works fine, so there is a compatibility issue between the mod and Emergy Transmission event.
I want to notice that, with the mod disabled, the new survivor changes. I think it could be something regarding the new pool of survivors introduced by the mod, it seems that the game "picks" one of the Mod Survivors for the event, and this leads to the crash.

I can add a mining animation, but wouldn't make sense since they are supposed to go mine down the shaft, but making them vanish in it just for that is a bit too much doing for not much in return.

I am very much enjoying this mod, the custom assets fit in well, especially the stockpiles. The sturdy clothing is good too! My only nitpick is the excavation, i love the model and mechanic but when the characters are performing the action there is no animation, they just stand there. Is there a way of making them perform the mining animation while excavating? Only a small issue but would really add to the gorgeous mine model

Which expeditions / breakthroughs are related to the mentioned feature "2 Expeditions to help you achieve breakthroughs that your seed might be missing"? Any chance one of them is to gain a mech core? Pretty sure there aren't any in my crash landing seed, which is pretty annoying.

I reloaded the mod and it reinstalled the required library or that might have been missing (it used to work correctly but stopped). Now it's working correctly with just normal 'work' scheduled and excavating set to their highest priority.

Extraction/Mining isn't working correctly with 'alt work' removed from the schedule to force someone to mine. The verbage on the mine task list is that it's a craft but I even with someone forced to craft in the schedule as their only activity, they will not keep mining on their own. It has to be manually toggled and they'll do it once then stop and then stand there idle because they have no other permissions in their management.

How exactly is that done? It's the excavating skill to mine the mine right? And how do you add orders to mine on the mine? Do you mean manually? Isn't there a way to make them do it automatically like every other task? -thanks

There is no need for a fix they'll mine by themselves as long as the characters is assigned for excavating

Not sure what is wrong, I would need a more thorough report on discord with the logs as well. As far as I've tested, the Initial joins stop, the events do not nor they are meant to, the option only disables the initial joins which are more frequent to fill your population as you start a new game, 1+ years after, the characters trying to join should trigger twice a year.

Amazing mod and I hate playing without it but, as others have mentioned, have you managed to have a look at the "A Wanderer Appears". Im doing the Trade Scenario so dont want the freebies as I want to earn my cash and get the staff that way. Even with it disabled in mod settings, im now getting daily "A Stranger Appears" in camp, having to refuse them, then get -10 happiness. Cant really play without your mod now on any Scenario xD XD

Just wondering, but is it me or are the SMGs atleast, super op compared to the other weapons in base game? I don't even want to touch 2.0 Weapons of any kind with an SMG around :steamhappy:

@Shake Just play the game as is, it will work with the normal work now if not i'll need a log or detailed steps on how to replicate the issue on discord because on my tests it is working fine.

@Captain Vincible You need to research it then it'll be on the production tab.

Mines! Where do you find the construction option? I verified the mod is installed and played for about an hour and a half to see if something unlocked anything new, specifically mines, but nothing. I don't see anything new with the mod. Do I just need to keep playing and unlock more research?

Hi, some points for balance . 3 lvl of balance : example a good cook, if somebody a very good cook , max lvl 4 + interessted . if somebody like to cook , lvl 2 + interessted. if somebody can cook if nobodyelse could, lvl1 or lvl2 .
Let be a good time for grind. When you add things like : learn skills twice asfast then he/she is interessted in cooking and it start with lvl 6, it takes like 30 min to reach max lvl ( not even 1 year in gametime ). Which is boring. ( i,m not mad just sayin ) Or some traits are just not working together. Like has 25% faster speed and its clumsy so -10% speed like really do i need to do math to find out he has 15% faster speed? i mean not abig deal but you can do it better.
I have like 600 h in this game and i would never play without this mod anymore but the balance is not there when its about skills etc. ! Anyways have nice day.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I learned how to get your survivors to excavate on their own and prolifically. Just go the schedule for the toon you want doing the excavating, and recheck all the 'work' (pink) boxes with 'anything' (beige) and on the other activity menu set the toons excavate to a '1', making sure there are no other activities that compete with that, and the toon will excavate by themselves all day and night, lol.

Love the characters in this mod! I am however also experiencing the issue with "A new stranger" event even though I have it disabled.

bonjour , le mods fonctionné très bien as se jour .
mais en relançant une nouvelles parties , les personnages ajouter ou du jeu lui même buggé constamment ! style couper un arbre , arrête , coupé un arbre , arrêté . je ne sais pas exactement si ça viens de se mods , je préfère le signalé ici . car ces mon plus gros mods en jeu . le reste est téléportation et les douches .

Wonderful mod! I can confirm aef8234's comment though, it appears event disabling the "a new stranger" event and debuff is not working as intended, the debuff persists and the event seems to trigger every 5/10 minutes or so.

A new stranger approaches event still procs when I have it disabled. If anything it procs even more, somehow.

Great mod!

Only issue I'm having is the New Flora exploration.

I get the plants and the pop up saying new Research but no Research becomes available. It's not game breaking but just wanted to flag it up :)

work zones all happy. they would rather stand around than Excavate. Hope does it more than anyone on another save. guess i'll have to stand watch them mine over and over :D other than that seems to work

Strangely, Excavating is working out now. All I did was build a log cabin for my workers, made sure they had everything they needed, food, tables, clothes cupboard and medical supplies and I assigned them to that zone and they are now excavating back and fourth now, no idling.

They will Excavate once in a blue moon, I even unchecked all tasks except Excavation so it was their only task. They very rarely excavate, spend most the day Idle. Will try the assemble thing Almostcomatose, thanks.

Same as Shawnfaust24, I can get anyone to excavate. It seems it's a crafting activity, further it requires that you're assigned to assembling. I created a work area, assigned a guy to excavate, nothing just idle. I notice it says "craft an excavation", so i try crafting. Nothing, idle. Finally I hard assign him to assembling, and finally he excavates.

I am not able to make workers use the mines unless I manually force them. I have priority set to 3 for everyone and 1 for excavating. I even have idle workers. Tried setting a work area and they just sit there...

Hi @Bloodworth I have quite a few mods loaded and I like yours but... I get an error message if I have it enabled regardless of if I have any other mods enabled or not "Mod-related problem detected in game logic. Try disabling the mods in case of unexpected game behavior." and I did have an error flash by which resulted in all my feeding vessels which had herbivore loading all now having carnivore foods - which was very odd, it had been butter melon and blueberries. I hope you manage to sort out whatever the problem is because I really have been enjoying it.
