you know, from a lore standpoint I actually feel like this would kind of make sense. You're literally in a walking tank, small arms aren't gonna do much if anything to you.

Version 1.2 released. Added ModOptions mod support for adjusting the weapon damage and cooldown of infantry weapons. I also moved all of the AI improvements from this mod to the Infantry_No_Expense mod.

You need to unsubscribe and subscribe again to both the Infantry_No_Damage and Infantry_No_Expense mods to pick up these changes. This is a Steam Workshop issue not an issue with this mod.

@Fuhrer If you are using the Infantry_No_Color mod then yes.

Along the way, I also use the Infantry No Icons mod to make them less visible. Now can I remove it and use yours?

@Fuhrer yes I was going to remove the infantry mod because of the chip damage they were doing, but I really wanted to keep the mod so I made this mod for my self (just the no damage change at first).

A few days later I decided to publish this mod because I figured other people might have wanted to keep the infantry mod, but decided to remove it because of the chip damage. Since I was going to publish this mod for others I decided to also try to improve and change the infantry AI to match better with the no damage change.

It is nice knowing this mod convinced some people to keep or give the infantry mod a shot.

@Kit you should give the Inferno Infantry mod a try, I believe it does exactly what you asked for.

Me, sitting here wanting the infantry to do more damage because they're already not a threat worthy of me even installing an MG to deal with. I run with player lancemates so the AI ignoring them isn't an issue at all... hopeful you'll publish the "make them meaner" by just at least making their SRMs do proper SRM damage.

You won't believe it, but I just now wanted to remove the mod that adds infantry, because it was more annoying than complementary to the game process, but I stumbled upon this mod. :D
The game is simply not adapted to the presence of infantry in it. But, nevertheless, it would be nice to see some filling of the world, and not just empty locations without scenario productions.

and the lance not attacking them ...

@Hermatus That's exactly it, so one can enjoy seeing them running around and desperatly shooting your lance in vain without having to worry about them doing any damage haha.

Yeah the lancemates completely ignoring the damage the infantry give is one of the reasons I ended up making this mod.

So .. let me get this straight...
your mod makes the infantry simply an... environmental element ?
they just give immersion and dont really interact with the play at all ?

Since my lancemates are too stupid to do ANYTHING with the infantry so far like shooting them even when attacked by them for minutess... that would give them purpose by making them useless damagewise ? :) Sounds kinda funny, but a nice idea !

I also tried making a version where infantry would do less damage than vanilla, however the damage value for the infantry attacks in the vanilla mod is already set to the lowest the game will accept.

So when it comes to infantry damage the only options we have are to increase the damage, keep it the same (vanilla) or set it to zero (this mod), it cannot be set lower than what you see in the vanilla mod.
