Anyone tired of waiting can fix it by going into the 1.6/Gourmet/Defs folder and opening the GourmetOmlettes.xml. Once open you will see the line <thingClass>VanillaCookingExpanded.GourmetMeal</thingClass> you need to change it to <thingClass>VEF.Cooking.GourmetMeal</thingClass> that will allow it to work now.

Hi, I know others have mentioned the problem. I didn't believe that a small omelette will kill the entire game, until I disabled it and found it's real lol. ( this will cause the game fail to select the scenario. ) Plz take ur time to fix it, and my pawns are waiting for the yummy omelettes, cheers! :)

This mod just broke after today's Vanilla Expanded Framework update. It seems that something related to condiments has changed.

Omlette du fromage update is out!

You need to use Vanilla Cooking Expanded for the cheese. Then, complete the research for Gourmet Omlettes. Cook eggs and VCE Cheese to get an omlette that dramatically enhances research speed for a day, in honour of Dexter's Laboratory.

Re: the polite suggestions of improving the French, I'm afraid that would be disrespectful to the source material . As for improving the English, I like @enigman's suggestion that omlette is the in-universe spelling of omelette.

question. With the mods that add in egg laying humanoids does making an omelette from a human egg count as cannibalism even if the egg was unfertilized? Just trying to see if there is loophole to make a semi-vegan cannibal. lol

Actually, "Omelette du fromage" literally translates to "Omelette of the cheese". Trust me I am french. So as a gourmet, may I suggest to replace "meaty omelettes" by "oeuf à cheval", which is a fried egg (oeuf au plat) delicately drop on a piece of meat ?

Dexter's word literally translates to "Cheese Omelette", so I'd recommend adding it as a Patch that checks if you have the Vanilla Cooking Expanded Mod, which adds cheese.

Also, don't listen to Enigman. Spelling matters!

@El, just retcon the fact that Omlettes is the Rimworld rephrasing of Omelettes. When you are in a hurry in a survival situation and need to eat saving a vowel can save your life!

If we get more than 500 downloads, I promise to add the omlette du fromage from Dexter's Lab, as well as a hangover-curing omlette based on my favourite ingredients.

It has also been brought to my attention that I do not know how to spell omelette. Once I've recovered from the shame, I will update the spelling.
