question i need to ask, hydrotherapy feels like its worded to only work in open ocean, which means its useless for caving and even more useless if you have real sonar on your save, could i get confirmation as to if it works in caves or not?

Less oxygen use sounds like a good idea and something I completely overlooked. If I find time I’ll add it to a few perks and I’ll play around with the scooters speed and battery

Still my favorite class. Since I'm always lazy around the sub and the swim boost helps me a lot clearing missions a lot faster

It overrides locations, so it should be possible unless you have other mods using locations too

You may also consider powering the slipstream scooter via a fuel rod item.

If I may, I was looking through and comparing all scooters, and the power drain makes the slipstream scooter unviable. The vanilla scooter has Condition="-0.2", while the slipstream is set to -12, which drains even the best battery in seconds. I know it’s not meant to be balanced against other mods, but for reference: the EK Utilities jetscooter has 250 propulsion and a decay of -0.3. Lowering the slipstream’s decay to around -0.4 or -0.5 would still make it the fastest option at 315 propulsion, while keeping it usable. A decay of -0.6 to -0.7 could also work for short bursts or if you’re planning a future upgrade like a sonar, but any higher and it risks becoming more hassle than it’s worth. Just some thoughts on how to make it a viable option. Cheers!

The Jet Scooter in the legacy EK Utility mod is superb and the Enhanced Armament's High-Speed Scooters is superb -- both make me so happy. Since EK Utility is now shuttered, it would be great if TDJ's Pathfinder tree had a scooter with integrated hand sonar and high speed. I actually thought this mod was the one with the glorious jet scooter but when I crafted the slipstream and realized it was awful, I found that the jet scooter was from the EK Utility mod. TDJ could be the greatest of all diver job mods, not even talking about overpowered but just excellent and fun for diver mains, but it needs improvements in certain areas. I don't want to ramble on by talking about the talents, but the scooter is the main thing I want to see reworked.

Standard scooter propulsion is supposedly 150, and the slipstream scooter has 315. But at 10 seconds of use per battery and taking up an inventory slot, the slipstream scooter is functionally bad. Someone might be able to get away from an enemy for a short distance, but it doesn't buy much time and mobs will then still swim faster than a standard scooter or the fast swimmers. If you're away from the sub, it provides hardly any salvation. The slipstream scooter atm is the antithesis of the "elite, long-range, long-term EVA diver" dream of this mod. As a diver main with hundreds of hours of EVA across servers who loves spending time outside the submarine, The Diver Job mod is interesting/fun and has so much potential but it falls short in some of the talents and crafts. The slipstream scooter should absolutely be the best scooter that outclasses the standard scooter in every way.

I can look into it, but I am not going to use other barotrauma mods as a source of balance. I tried to keep it relatively in line with vanilla and to not power creep the base game.

It shouldn't have standard scooter speed, I'll look into next time I have time

Can you please change the jetstream scooter to have an integrated hand sonar, functional battery, and higher than standard scooter speed, please? That alone would turn this mod gold star tier (and honestly 10 seconds for the slipstream is ridiculous!). The middle path for Diver is somewhat under-strength especially when running Enhanced Armaments mod which gives the high-speed scooter and outclasses the slipstream in every way.

Hydrophobic doesn't make you immune to water flow, it makes you twice as strong against it. It's just submarine water movement.

Slipstream isn't meant as a conventional traversal tool, it's supposed to help you get out of bad situations fast

How about adding a new ability to the 2nd row of skills. For example, a skill called ‘battle cry’ Gives players nearby and the owner himself +25% to attack speed in melee and ranged combat and +15% to increased damage. Well, or make an object pipe that will give the same characteristics

I don't know what you mean by working with AI, however it should work with other mods. (Unless they overwrite locations, then you won't be able to hire the diver at outposts)

Does the calloused talent affect bleed resistance or double the amount of health you have in the unconscious state you go into after going under the first health bar?
