That's really strange, because I still get events for books, even with that off. I thought it was just about things like "Bat Boy" stuff

@AKUA Yeah, It seems that up to three Prestige Goods of the same type can be added.

@kaznoko Interesting. It seems there are some exceptions. For example, you can have more than one type of prestige goods for silk (chinese silk and italian silk). Guess it is hard-coded and we need them to update the functionality to be able to allow more than one type of custom goods.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the information. Looking at the error log, it seems that there is a limit on Prestige Goods, so I may not be able to add many Prestige Goods.

Hi. There seems to be an issue with prestige goods in the mod. There is only one prestige good of the type in the market even though many different same type prestige goods has been activated. In this mod, for example, if both new york times and la presse are active, only la presse exists in the market. I also have the same problem with my mod so there seems to be issues with mod (most likely there are some lines need to edit as well).

In the base game, you can definitely have coexistent prestige goods of the same type.

I have a suggestion, i was playing with Arabia and after i got my first newspaper i was FLOODED with notifications of all the books i've missed, i had to wait the days so they all disappeared without me having to click a million times the button to make them disappear

Can you make it so you only get the new books that get published AFTER you get your first newspaper? It doesn't even make sense to get notifications of books that don't benefit your country, like...why should i care about them? Most of them don't even have a description of the book

@aquelarrefox. I think one of major incompatibilities is the buy order (it affects demand side of market). If other industries mod introduce new goods, then you need to write your own mod to incorporate all goods from all mods. Moreover, if other mods introduce new profession or new social class, then you also need to modify the files accordingly to accommodate all.

How compatible is this mod with other that mod industries?

@kaznoko I think the 00_default.txt under social_classes is probably the issue. Devs changed the way the social classes are assigned to accommodate India Caste system. All my journalists were classless before and it may cause some problems for population UI. Unfortunately, this modification only affects new journalists. Instead of editing the POPs in the save, I just fire all journalist by destorying all buildings and then rehire. I will see if it fixes it. By the way, is propagonda enabled? I didn't see it in JE

There seems to be a bug that if you have journalist POP, then the game will crash when you click the "population" button. I think I have updated this mod to the current version but the issue still occurs (I will check again). The cause is In the file pbi_journalists.text under pop_types, the line color = { 181 34 84 } seems to have the wrong syntax. I check for example academic.txt, the line is color = hsv{ 0.94 0.51 0.37 }. It looks like they use different coloring tool in 1.8.

@AKUA It is always fun to think about what the updates will allow to do with this mod.

@Obsdiangolem You may play with those mods. There may be minor bugs. In particular, the Victorian Flavour Mod may be buggy with product consumption.

Waiting for the update for 1.8 (mostly adjustment for new social classes mechanics). I wish this mod may be incorporated to future DLCs.
