Here's what I would do: 1. Rename the chocolate that's in the base game to "Dark Chocolate" (😋). 2. Change the milk chocolate recipe to 30 raw cocoa + 10 milk = 20 milk chocolate; i.e. compared to dark chocolate, you change a quarter of the nutrition input from raw cocoa to milk, and get the same nutrition output. 3. Make milk chocolate provide +5% movement speed for 6h, but otherwise have the same effects as dark chocolate.

I can't sell the milk chocolate to towns and traders.

This has a conflict with the release of Anomaly. The xml patcher needs to be modified to do something different now that Anomaly is present. Even if your don't have Anomaly installed, it changed the files in base game. If you want to fix it short term for yourself, you can just change a line in the "TraderPatch" file in the mod. Find and replace the line

<xpath>Defs/TraderKindDef[defName="Orbital_Exotic"]/stockGenerators/li[8]/thingDefs</xpath>

with

<xpath>Defs/TraderKindDef[defName="Orbital_Exotic"]/stockGenerators/li[9]/thingDefs</xpath>

And it should be fine for now, any updates to this mod will undo the change, so you might have to do it again later.

The author just needs to correct the PatchOperation for the Anomaly DLC, and have it use the second line instead of the first.

I feel like this mod could make a great foundation for a big chocolate based food mod if you wanted to make such a thing, there's a lot of different foods that can be made with chocolate, not all of which exist in other mods.

Thanks for the report! I've just pushed an update; various traders should now deal in chocolate and milk chocolate.

I suspect the original mod made it that way to balance out requiring an additional ingredient, but you make a good point.

First off, I'll be adding this mod. I was surprised when I harvested my first cocoa tree, that it came out as edible chocolate.

That said, I feel like Chocolate and Milk Chocolate should swap properties. Dark chocolate has been shown to have more health beneficial properties than Milk chocolate, and according to google searches, Milk Chocolate is preferred over Dark chocolate by about 50% to 35%

Not a deal breaker, just an opinion.
