MCC has been updated and as a result all my mods probably broke. I am currently away for work for the next 3 weeks so I won't be able to update them until then. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately no, Ultimate Firefight Sandtrap is technically a campaign mission/ entirely separate map. I do plan to eventually try adding AI onto the map though.

Oh yeah I can do that. I'll probably just upload the entire tag files on Nexus (since I can't do it here) since a lot of the things are used to make give it the "night-time" aesthetic. If you can get AI working on the maps, by all means have fun and feel free to share it with everyone. I'll probably have the files uploaded to Nexus in a couple hours.

Also, would you ever think about releasing the .scen for this map and the other maps (such as the reach one)? I would love to just play around with it and add my own stuff

Hmm interesting. I found the scripts you are talking about. Now that I'm finished with my Halo 3 campaign I'll start looking into this more.

maybe try throwing on the scripts from ultimate sandtrap firefight for your AI testing. maybe not all of the scripts, but some of the spawning scripts to test the enemies would help. (they provide the scripts through google docs or Nexus)

Yeah I've been slowly figuring out how to get AI working on these kinds of maps so maybe someday I can make an epic AI battle mod

I'd love for someone to make a horror map or turn one of the mp maps into one. This in particular would make for one spooky map especially if you can add in some custom eerie background noises and maybe flood enemies?

hehe I know right. The way the spartan laser lights up the entire map for split second with the shadows is my kind of eye candy.

Yeah I have it set to like 600 GPU lights and 200 CPU lights so I don't think it is the performance throttles. However, it may be that Sapien its self can't handle it but once you get in game it could be fine. I am curious how it would perform when there is full game going on with everyone's AR flashlight, Warthog headlights, Hornet spot lights and the Elephant's lights...only time will tell

As for the limit with the lights and the Elephant, have you checked the Performance Throttles on the map (Use Guerilla)? It looks like you can increase the number of rendered lights.

Ok, thx for the info. I really like how the maps turned out btw, You did the lights on the vehicles really well imo. This contrasts to another night map made by a different author who didnt really follow through very well with everything.

The skybox (twinkling stars) are from the intro cut scene to Sierra 117, however to make it dark, every map has a tag called camera_fx_settings where most of the changes happen. In there, one of the first sections called exposure, I changed the maximum exposure to 0 and the minimum to anything between -3 and -5. I also unchecked the "auto-adjust target" and "fixed" flags and set the exposure to whatever you set the minimum to. On some levels it looks great, on others you need to change the sky to make it look more convincing. If I knew how to change the light map it could probably look better.

Question: what skybox and/or other settings did you use to get it this dark?
