Love this, but for me the volume is way to loud, turning down Menu Music doesn't do anything?

Even when I set the volume to 1 i still can't hear the music

@Sylentwag21 in my experience, setting the menu music volume to 1 will allow the modded menu music to play

Is there a way to remove the sound of the default menu? The default music still plays when I use this mod and I even replaced the files in the steam folder. When I try to turn down the menu music in the settings like someone else suggested it just turns everything down.

Anyone know how to install this mod on the game pass version of MCC PC?

colors are more like the original, higher lod for things like the little rocks on the road and grass, fixed a bug where the covenant cruiser would teleport a little bit forward (weird issue that happens on the pc version of h3 main menu), basically no stutter on the video itself but can stutter a bit in game (mcc issue?), somewhat better quality but reduced file size

also the issue you mentioned earlier has never happened to me so i don't know what's up with that

The only difference I noticed is that this video used to be almost 4 GB but now is only 1 GB

Also, sometimes after leaving a match the video starts stuttering and struggling to run alongside the entire menus, which only happens with this one. Which makes me wonder if that's a problem with the resolution of this menu video or if it is running at a framerate higher than the usual 30 and that's why the game can't keep up with it sometimes.

@Ride idk if you got help already but you need to replace it like the old way before the update:

1. After the download is ready, go to steam\steamapps\workshop\content\976730\2898873550
2. Copy FMS_MainMenu_v2.bk2 from the workshop folder
3. Go to steam\Halo The Master Chief Collection\MCC\Content\Movies
4. Paste the mod to Movies folder
5. Set Menu Music Volume to 1 in MCC audio settings
6. If the video doesn't play in correct menu background, go to MCC settings -> Video -> Configure Backgrounds -> Main Menu Background and select Evergreen (default video background for main menu)

Replace the default video with this one on your PC files, and then set the video option inside the game to default. That will make this appear from the beginning instead.

its working good thank you @Loudzy but i have a question its not popping up in the screenshot like you have above where it says press a or press enter to start before actually going into the mcc game how do i get it for that also? it still shows the original mcc screen for that

well it’s been a while since i first made this so i could probably now make it smaller. but yeah for some reason the bink video tool compresses videos weirdly and it needs a lot of bitrate for it to not look trash even if the source video quality is high. if mcc used regular video files this would not be a problem

@freya for some reason mcc plays the default menu video on the press button to start screen, but if you replace the default video file with the modded file and choose default main menu bg in mcc (evergreen) then it will play right from the beginning

I noticed that your screenshots show that you can use the video on the intro screen before going into the main menu. But how? I only get to change the background in the main menu but I can't on the splashcreen from the beginning.

Do you have any plans to give the other games' menus a similar treatment? All the other workshop options currently don't have any music and you did a killer job with these!

I guess what i'm asking is, is there a way to mute the (FMS_MainMenu_v2.bk2) so I can add over all Halo 3 menu music so it plays consistently across all menus?

Is there a way to have music that covers all other menus as well? right now only the main menu has music and it starts over from the beginning if interrupted by a different section.

i only get the main menu changed to the OG Halo 3 Background and music but not the campaign or multiplayer? did i do something wrong or is it currently broken?

For anyone wondering, because I was stuck on this too, if you're hearing both the Halo 3 music and the MCC menu music go to your settings and turn down the menu music to 0 because the H3 music is in the movie itself rather than a separate audio file.

Hopefully you can add all the main menus and even matchmaking menus, and have a option to select a menu theme we load in game or even randomize it each time we log it. I have yet to install but this looks and sounds great!!!
