Yup and regular twisted meat for serums can be a thing then because in some cases it's actually kinda hard to get that stuff.
I've looked into it a bit, harbinger trees spawn bioferrite as a harvestable product and produce twisted meat as a byproduct from chopping them down.
If I made them like the cocoa tree they would be constantly producing harvestable bioferrite, which is something I'm not so sure about being ideal. It makes more sense that it would produce twisted meat as a harvestable imho. But doing so would mean they don't drop bioferrite at all anymore which would be at odds with their description as well.
What are your thoughts? What do you think would be ideal and what would you like to see in a mod that involves harbinger trees?
A little late but that's actually an interesting suggestion of making Harbinger Trees drop twisted meat without needing to cut them down.
I'll consider it.
that's not something I can fix with just xml and is technically a bug in vanilla code. I did not change anything in the code, I just allowed the player to set the regrowth stage level after harvest.
I'll look into it more when I return from vacation to see how bad it is and if something 'can' be done but technically I consider this mod finished. I reckon the cocoa tree doesnt spawn a full stack of chocolate at harvest if you set it to 45% so it's probably not that bad.
Just dont set it to 45% growth stage for the time being lol
Glad I could help :D
Sometimes its the little things that make a rimworld playthrough just right
Apples are vanilla expanded if I'm not mistaken.
I might make something eventually though its definitely not on my to do list right now.
You're welcome to copy my mod code really and apply it too vanilla expanded trees if you want too. Should save you a bit of work.
You are a lovely, lovely, person.
